Well, hey there - I'm Scott Fowler - Though, uhm, right: you're here, you knew that much already. I'm a transplanted Canadian that has real passion for Baseball and Hockey, more notably, The Los Angeles Angels or Anaheim, the Anaheim Ducks, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

That said, I'm also just a passionate baseball and hockey fan. I might wax nostalgic on here from time to time, but thats ok. . . . . right?

I'm also the new community leader for the (Los Angeles) Angels of Anaheim. I'm an OC Resident, and honestly will never really be able to call 'em the LA Angels. Just one of those things. If you have any questions or concerns, or comments, both derogatory and useful - - please let me know and drop me a line. :)

If place of birth were the deciding factor in a sports fan’s team loyalty, I’d cheer for the Red Sox. If family history were all that mattered, I’d be a Yankee fan. My grandfather grew up in the Bronx, and as a kid, my dad’s favorite player was the great Mickey Mantle. On the other side of the family, my mother’s grandfather – my great-grandfather – was the doctor for the 1927 Yankees – none other than Murderer’s Row.

But I am a fan of neither the Sox nor the Yankees. Raised in suburban Maryland, my once-beloved Orioles have not put together a winning season since 1997, when I was 12 years old, and so while they are still the team I root for most, more than anything, I am a baseball fan.

I first wrote about baseball during my sophomore year of college shortly after the conclus...

It has New York Mets news, rumors, discussions, and other baseball banter. Please let me know what you think about some of my articles about the Mets.

Writer bio

I am a lifelong Chicagoan who loves sports, especially baseball, and especially the Cubs. I could die a happy man if the Cubs could just once win the damn World Series. But I refuse to die until they do, which ensures a long life I think.

I have a passion for writing, am opinionated, and I don't bathe frequently. I do try to be balanced and fair, but I look forward to your comments, I love feedback.

On a personal note, I have three kids, one of each. If you want to know more about me, first consult a therapist. But if you still insist, Sam Wenk was kind enough to do a brief profile on me for BR:
