San Diego Chargers Top Writers

1 - Eric Gomez

Writer bio

Hi, I'm Eric Gomez. Currently, I'm a Television, Film and New Media Major attending San Diego State University in (you guessed it) San Diego, California. Aside from writing and enjoying sports, I design websites in my spare time and wonder why the San Diego Padres haven't had a pitcher throw a no-hitter or a batter hit for the cycle.

I'm a co-Community Leader for the San Diego Chargers section on B/R, as well as the Community Leader for the San Diego Padres. If you have any questions, comments, suggestions or anything else basically, be sure to leave a note on my profile or e-mail me at:

2 - Raider Card Addict

Writer bio

The result of an older brother following the Raiders and a Father who follows the Broncos, Joseph Budd was tuned to the Raiders at a young age, starting with Ken Stabler's game against the Vikings in the 1976 season. Going through school, he was the subject of ridicule and resentment, especially after cheering for the Raiders through two more Super Bowl wins, and watched in horror when Bo Jackson's career was derailed.

Never giving up on his team, Joe went on to college, and took his hobby into business, opening a card shop, trading, and doing business both before and after the internet took off, selling cards and collectables.

After discovering that there was no physical way to collect every single card when your name is not Donald Trump, Joe decided to pursue the Raider cards. A...

Writer bio

Grew up in San Diego and have been a Padres and Chargers fan all my life. I still have a soft spot for the Clippers as well. Love baseball and football and now with a daughter who plays softball, have gotten to love softball.

What I write may border on satire/editorial, but, I hope all who read what I write, enjoyable.

**Work has been crazy the last few months (3 projects at the same time with less people, YIKES!), but, things are slowing down a bit and hopefully I'll be back and more consistent.**

Yes, that is THE Jim Laslavic sitting next to me.

5 - Michael Whooley

Writer bio

Michael Whooley lives in the happiest place on Earth. No,not Disneyland; rather that beautiful city known as San Bruno in the wondrous state of California. A graduate of Providence College in Rhode Island, Michael has also done his time on the East Coast and has come to the conclusion that the West Coast truly is the Best Coast. Seriously, who needs snow? Michael emerged from his mother's womb decked in the red and gold of his beloved San Francisco 49ers. Growing up in the Bay Area in the late 80s and early 90s, Michael was spoiled and got to enjoy some of the best football any team has ever played (not just opinion, but a fact as solid as the fact that the male seahorse has the babies - look it up!) Trips to Candlestick Park to see the 49ers with his grandma were frequent occurrences. ...

7 - Michael Nevin

Writer bio

Contrary to popular belief, Michael Nevin is not the pink elephant pictured to the left. Michael Nevin just happens to be a high school senior with an affinity for pink elephants wearing glasses. He refuses to post a picture of himself for fear that he will receive numerous marriage requests. However, his suave appearance isn't the only interesting thing about this young man. For example, did you know that Michael likes to refer to himself in the third person? You may never know if Michael wrote this himself, or if someone wrote it for him. Michael, a magnificent procrastinator, is most likely not working at the moment. He enjoys writing satire, although he may not be particularly good at it.

I started playing hockey at the age of 10 in Peoria, Illinois. In 1997 I was a founding member of the Capistrano Valley High School Roller Hockey team and went on to captain the Interscholastic In-Line Federation Orange County Varsity-A Championship team as a Senior in 2001. Picking up there, I co-founded the Chapman University Roller Hockey team in the Fall of '01 and was an assistant captain on the 2005 National Collegiate Roller Hockey Association Elite Eight Finalist at the National Collegiate Tournament in Fort Collins, CO.

Since then I work for Fox Sports and Fox Sports Net on various sports based programs. I have been an avid Los Angeles Kings fan since the early 1990's. I have played fantasy sports since 2001.

I never know what to say in this spot. I know I am supposed to tell you guys something about myself that no one knows, or the things I like to do with my spare time, or -- even worse -- what I do for a living and how I got to where I am and all that jazz.

But really, I do not know what to say. I love sports, why else would I be here at Bleacher Report? Or writing a fantasy football blog of my own, TheHazean.com. And that is why you guys and gals are here, too: We love sports.

So, to recap, I do not know what to write in the Bio and I love sports.

And I will leave you with my favorite quote from LSU head coach Les Miles: "Have a great day!"

I am now on my third year writing on the Oakland Raiders, my second here on BleacherReport. I am a die hard enthusiast of Raider Football, but I also follow every level of the sport with a passion. I will be attending CSU East Bay in the spring, and will pursue my Masters Degree in Public Relations, with a minor in Journalism. I played Football in High School for the East Union Lancers, in Manteca, CA. I coached a Junior HIgh Baseball team known as the Woodward Mustangs for two years, but figured out that Football is a passion, baseball is a hobby.

Thank you all who have shown support, and continue to read my work.

I take pride in correctly calling the Raiders first round picks the last three years, amidst all you naysayers. But I love the feedback / criticism you bring to my...

Theres only three things you need to know. Celtics, Red Sox, Patriots. I love them, but I also love a good game and every professional sport other then NASCAR, because its unneeded and is a waste of gas.
I am 13 years old, aspire to be a sports writer and hope to do well on bleacherreport or at least learn something about writing. I hope to become a Senior Writer and dream to have a Pick of the Day, but that may take a while...
I really want to excel my college football knowledge. I have really picked up the sport, watching it every Saturday and rooting for Boston College with a soft spot for a few other teams.

The Celtics bandwagon is overly said. Boston has been giving those guys full houses during the bad years. My favorite part about sports is that one year a team is awful, or...
