Writer bio

Bryan has established his writing career both in journalism, and also in theater, as well as some work for various NHL rumor sites (Namely Insider Rumors). Bryan (in the middle in the picture)hopes to become involved in sports on the broadcasting side of things in the near future, as well as keeping his writing going. Bryan's watched any and all sports since the age of four, and has an intimate understanding of the game of baseball as a level three umpire.

Writer bio

I've been a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan since before I could walk, and I've grown up with a love for hockey in general. I like to keep tabs on what's happening with every team, and the NHL isn't the only hockey I love - AHL, junior, university or international, you name it and I love it. I also enjoy most other sports, with the exception of basketball.

Along with Derek Harmsworth, I also co-host a new Internet radio show called Leafs Talk Today. The show is featured on youcastr.com and tackles all the latest news and speculation regarding the Toronto Maple Leafs and the rest of the NHL. We're always looking to add new guests, so get in touch with us if you're interested.

5 - Mark Makuch

Writer bio

Born and raised in Toronto, I have been a Leafs fan since birth. I tried to root for other teams, I really did, especially during the dark days of Harold Ballard, but it just didn't work. I always come back to the blue and white. When they finally win the cup I think I will savour it more than anyone. OK, well, probably there are thousands more just like me who will enjoy it just as much. I get a huge kick out of writing articles on the Leafs. Its pretty much making the wait bearable. Just.

7 - Andrew Echevarria

Writer bio

Hey, I'm Andrew Echevarria. I'm currently 14, and am in my freshmen year in highschool. I'm from Mississauga. Growing up in Mississauga was great because you had a Leafs community around you and you could discuss topics regarding the Leafs.

3 years ago, I moved to Vancouver, BC...it was harder to discuss topics regarding the Leafs...but I still managed to have my hockey crave satisfied by just talking about the NHL and hockey in general...then came the big test...

6 months ago, I moved to Santiago, Chile (for all those people who don't know where it is, think south...think near Antarctica....) So far, it's been hell, no one knows anything about hockey or about the Leafs (except those who watched the Love Guru).

I think I'll survive, and then maybe one day, return to my hometow...

Been a hockey fan for my entire life.

I enjoy writing whenever I can.

I have worked on hockey broadcasting teams for events including the Olympics, NHL ALLSTAR GAME, WORLD JUNIOR HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS, and NHL CENTRE ICE and LEAF TV broadcasts.

Needles to say I watch a LOT of hockey.

My view on hockey can be summarized as such "A high speed war game with sticks, pucks and gutts"

15 - Thayne Hallyburton

Writer bio

Thayne Hallyburton is a passionate Toronto Maple Leaf, Toronto Raptor, San francisco 49er and Toronto Blue Jays fan. Thayne also loves watching lacrosse, motocross, snocross and NASCAR racing.

In his spare time he can be seen stock car racing at Barrie Speedway in the summer and in the winter he travels throughout Ontario, Quebec and the Northern states at snocross races.

Thayne's friends refer to him as the human sports encyclopedia because he keeps completely pointless stats in his head and makes sure everyone knows them. He can resite almost every 20 man roster in the National Hockey League and his all-round hockey knowledge is sickening.

Born and raised in the greatest city on Earth - or the centre of the hockey universe, whichever you prefer - I'm a Leafs fan. However, I'll admit I'm not a typical Leafs fan. I never boo my team, I stay ON the wagon no matter what, and I make intelligent points about their play - both good and bad. I'm a hockey fan, true and true.

Currently finishing up school, I don't have an abundance of time to contribute as much as I would like. Whenever I get a few moments, I'll be sure to share what I can.

Writer bio

Graeme Boyce is first and foremost a skilled communicator, and met Harold Balland, not once but twice. The first time in The Bunker, which is where he got (and still has) King Clancy's autograph. Along the way has also partied with Wendel Clark and Dave Ellett at The Left Bank, and used to have fun with Doug Gilmour when he lived in Toronto next to Boyce's best friend, and leadsinger of Random Killing, Drew Kiteley. Speaking of Wendel, when Ballard and Boyce met the second time, in the venerable Hot Stove Lounge, Boyce also had a chance to break bread with Russ Courtnall and Gary Leeman, to name a few.

My name is Jerrit Dusome and I am from a small town in Ontario called Penetanguishene. I am 19 years old and I attend Wilfrid Laurier University where I am studying history. Once I complete my degree I am going to attend Law School and get my LLB with a specialization in Sports Law, and with that I hope to get a job either in the NHL or the NHLPA. I am a die hard hockey fan. I live and breath hockey, especially when it comes to the Toronto Maple Leafs. They are my team, I love them as though they were all my children. I know they are hated everywhere else, but they are the greatest team in the history of sports worldwide. Its only a matter of time before the Stanley Cup comes back to its home in Toronto. I also enjoy other sports, such as football, baseball, and basketball. I...

20 - Tim Bator

Writer bio

I believe sports to be one of the few pure forms remaining these days. Once you remove all the advertisements, all the money, the media, and are left with just the game and its players, that is what true sport is about. Competing against another to prove that victory is attainable to all those who seek it, and are willing to sacrafice to get it.

What can i say, I've always been and will always be a big time hockey fan; thats probably the best description you'll get out of me! Grew up in Toronto, so it results to being a Leafs fan. They're not something im always proud of, but who knows what will happen in the future.

Go to school, write for sports for the University of Toronto paper, "The Varsity" and love it!
Id love to learn as much as i can, and will take any opinion,so feel free to drop me a line.

24 - Mike Boultbee

Writer bio

Born in Toronto, I never had a chance at being anything other than a Leafs fan. I grew up in the time of Gilmour, Clark, and Potvin. The first hockey game I ever went to was Game 7 of the second round Sharks/Leafs series in 1994, and still vividly remember all the "Squish the Fish!" signs handed out at the Gardens. I've seen the highs and lows- I was in the stands in one of Toronto's many playoff victories over the Senators, but I've also watched Martin Gelinas end the Leafs last great shot at the Cup in 2002. I now live and go to school in Victoria, BC, and try to remain in relative sanity among all the crazy Canucks fans (they're like Habs fans, minus the French and 24 Cups; trust me).

I got hooked on the NBA from the early 80's when Dr. J, Larry and Magic were the men.

I still looooooove the NBA. Chris Paul is Dis-Gus-Ting.....and I think Rudy Gay will be huge this year.

I'm a sports writer - mainly NBA, but from travelling and living in Australia(Melbourne), England(London) and Canada(Toronto - or tronna as they say here!) means I follow Cricket, Aussie Rules, Soccer, Tennis, Olympics.....pretty much everything.....just NOT rugby !

I'm enrolled at the College of Sports Media in Toronto. For any that don't know, it's a college that focuses on all aspects of Sports Media - Writing, Editing, Producing, Directing, On Camera, Radio....everything.

One day, I hope to be hosting NBA TV, talking smack with Peter Vescey and the gang.....so you might see my mug on...
