Jeffrey Writes About

The Short List facts and information about Jeffrey Klein

Favorite Athletes

Robinson Cano, Phil Hughes, Henrik Lundqvist, Brandon Dubinsky, Trevon Hughes, Kyle Turris.

Favorite Sports Teams

Yankees, Rangers, Knicks, Wisconsin Badgers (Basketball, Football, Hockey)

All Time Sports Moment

Fall of 1994- Watching the Garden in 1994 with the Rangers winning the Stanley Cup and the Knicks losing in Game 7 of the Finals was the best run that the 2 teams that play in the Garden have combined to put forth in the same season.

Most Memorable Game Attended

1994 NBA Finals Game 5- "The OJ Game"- The craziest game out of all of the Knicks games that I have even been to, merely topping the LJ 4-point play. This is the closest that the Knicks will most likely get to winning the finals in my lifetime, beating the Rockets and taking a 3-2 series lead. Larry Johnson's 4 point play against the Pacers in the playoffs was louder then I have EVER heard the Garden. In the Knicks chant the following year the shot was quoted to leave the garden "louder then New Year's eve at 11:59".

Most Unbreakable Sports Record

26 World Championships.

Ruth or Mays?

The House that Ruth Built.

Unitas or Montana?

I'll go with Joe Namath. Joe Namath predicted the Jets to beat the Colts in Super Bowl II, and then did.

Pele or Maradona?

Neither?

Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?

I go to the University of Wisconsin. It really does suck to be a Michigan Wolverine.

  1. Jeffrey -
I am publishing an article today entitled, "MMA: Get To Know The Fastest Growing Sport in America." This article was written as a result of your article idea you proposed to me not too long ago.

Also, if you want to know more about the sport or just have a few random questions about it feel free to shoot those over to me. I hope you enjoy the article.

  2. Sorry for the late repsonse, and since then a coach has been hired. But for what its worth Herb would be a terrible HC and Jackson wouldve probably been ok, and i still think Ewing could make an exceptional one. I would love to see #33 back in NY and under D'antoni now, i think that while D'antoni( who i dont think is a great fit) but i cant compalin after what we have been through) will focus more on the guards and forwards, Ewing will focus mroe on the big men, the forwards and centers, it will bring a nice balance, and i would still love to c thibideou come into the mix. anyways thats all i got to say for now, watch out cause i am going to b writing an article about D'antoni pretty soon.

  3. Thanks for deleting those posts. I hope from here on out we can be civil and agree to disagree.

  4. Hey Jeffrey, thanks for the kind words. Soon I'll check out some of your articles and let you know what I think—life's kind of hectic right now. But for sure, in the next few days I'll take a look. Until then, I would suggest going to the Bleacher Report blog and reading some of the writing tips. Seriously, there are some really good pointers. Although I've been writing for a while, there are some tips included in those blogs that helped me improve.

One tip that is universal: Keep writing. The more you write, the better you get—as long as you're trying to get better.

I look forward to reading your articles :)

  5. Thanks for the add Jeffrey.

  6. Thanks for the article idea about MMA. I'm going to put together an article one of these days for those, like yourself, who may be curious or skeptical about MMA. I'll keep you posted.

  7. Hey Jeffrey—it's Zander Freund, Bleacher Report's Content & Community Director.

Had to delete your black athletes article. I realize your intentions are not to be racist but people are going to interpret that way with how it's currently written.

I saved a copy of it which I'd be happy to send you if you'd like to try re-wording it and making it CRYSTAL CLEAR that you are appalled with the behavior of THESE PARTICULAR ATHLETES, not black athletes in general.

Also, "retard" in itself is a word you should avoid as again, people can take it the wrong way.

Don't mean to censor you Jeffrey, but this one is just a little too close to the edge for comfort. Hope you understand.

    Zander

PS: Got your feedback and plan on responding soon...there was just a lot in there and it will take me awhile to answer all of your questions. Appreciate your thoughts!

  8. So since 26 World Championships is an unbreakable record the Yankees will never win again? Because that would be breaking that record. I bet you're a real hard ass from Westchester or something...

And yeah I'm totally jealous of the Yankees, I don't enjoy that my team has won 2 of the last 4 World Series. I wish I had a fat reliever who can't pitch in the big game because of bugs on the field. I wish I was spending 200 mil a year to no avail, and my MVP flops every October.

So I will enjoy my 4 years in the Bronx, watching the Yankees and A-Rod crumble in the playoffs each year.

  9. Thanks for the add, enjoyed your CP3 vs. Deron Williams article.

  10. Jeffrey,

Sorry about that, I didn't mean for it to come off as a criticism about you. It was more a critique of the NBA and how it tries to create it's own stars out of the people it selects. Had no intention of putting you or your article down man, I thought it was solid! Hope you didn't take offense, I'll be careful to be more clear about how I word things in the future. I broke my ankle the other day and I'm on some heavy pain meds so my word choice and clarity have not been the best (not to mention my last article or two haha).

Keep up the good work man!

  11. The quotes I use are HTML codes. And the reason why LBJ/Carmelo pieces get more reads than CP3/Williams, is probably because LeBron and Carmelo are bigger names and more popular searches.

  12. Hey Jeff, Thanks for the kind words and becoming my first fan! Hopefully today won't be the last day for Rangers articles, we need to keeo the series going!

    Greg

  13. Thanks Jeffrey. That was probably the problem. I used to use Firefox and this was the first time I was doing my Bleacher Report work on Safari.
    Thanks again,
    Ari

  14. What browser are you using (Mac, Internet Explorer 6.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, Safari, etc.)?

    Mac or PC?

Let me know and we will figure out what's going on...

    Have a great weekend,
    Zander

  15. Thanks for reading man. Mehlhaff is definitely the best, though I was better at baseball than him in little league haha. Anyway, again thanks for reading and commenting. I hope Bo Ryan did the Soulja Boy dance right after that picture.
