Daniel's Bio
Born and raised in Grand Rapids Michigan, I grew up a fierce Detroit and Michigan State sports fan. Part of this was induced because of my environment (my family supported those teams), but I always tended to be little more geared up for a game, more elated in victory, and more devastated in defeat. And because I often rooted for losing teams (Football in particular), I was able to develop a fairly unbiased eye in evaluating them. It doesn't make you any less of a fan if you're able to admit that your team needs to work on some things, that it's not always the refs, that the other team didn't play dirty, that sport is just sport after all. This doesn't make you less passionate, only more reasonable. My life and work have taken me far away from Michigan over the years, and though I've gone to college at different schools, and resided in different geographies, I still remain fervently true to my roots. I've never gotten too excited about any other teams. Call it some crazy loyalty complex.

Detroit Lions...great uniforms btw...what is up with that team? why has it been like this for sooo long?
Personally, I have no team now so I'd like to see the Lions and the Cards and teams like that in the playoffs once in a while.

You ought to write an article on MEP - Most Economical Player. I think you're on to something here.
Let me know if you decide to.

I wrote a comment on your article in which I gave steps on how to add hyperlinks. Give it a whirl when you have a chance and let me know if you hit any snags.
Thanks again for the great laugh Daniel!

Alright, you get a laugh on that one.
But how can one laugh when poor Alicia is probably losing sleep so bad right now... she is so damn cute, I hate to think of her all depressed.

Hey Daniel,
I had to delete this comment as it violates our Terms of Use:
"Jay Mariotti is a fag. Plain and simple. Now he can whine about me. As for Ozzie admitting he's ordered a plunk or two, how is this news? Those who don't know that EVERY manager in the league has done the same thing are living in my little pony land."
Please avoid using derogatory language in the threads.

The Tigers bullpen is an abomination right now. I want to give up on this team so badly right now BUT we are a sweep away from being right back in this thing. They should be 10 back right now but w/ Chicago and Minnisota playing like dog poop also there is still a chance.
Rodney is not the answer, neither is Farnsworth or Zumaya. Let's hope that Jones can come back and be the closer that we need after his time off. I STILL HAVE FAITH
20 days ago
I have faith that Jonesy will be back to closing by the end of the year. Rodney scares me way more then Jonesy ever did, and Zumaya can throw hard but has no idea how to pitch. If Rodney blows a save or two (I hope not) then Jonesy is the man again.
Do you think the Tigers can catch the Sox and Twins?
I'm hoping that the Sox can put the Tigers back in their place and then split with Minny under the giant bag.
I'm still not sold on Detroit as a contender in the AL, but if they can take this series from the Sox, I might have to rethink my opinion of them.
