I'm a girl who loves the passion of sports more than the stats.

Back in the summer of 2005, I watched SportsCenter everyday... and occasionally twice a day.

Born in Pennsylvania, I will always be a Philly sports fan at heart. I'm a die-hard Eagles fan. I cheer for the Phillies. And I defend my favorite cheesesteak to the teeth.

When I was little, my dad transformed our basement into a shrine to Penn State football. He painted the ceiling black in one corner so the big screen would glow even more with Nittany Lion luminescence. He custom-built a bar inlaid with PSU trivia, family photos of us sitting on "the Lion" and ticket stubs from important games. The pool table was white wood with navy felt. A life-size cardboard cut-out of the legendary Joe Pa lurks in the corner. On Saturday mornings we used to gather round the shiny white helmet and worship it before games. Taking turns putting it on and smacking each other on the head. That is, unless we were lucky enough to be scalping tickets and tailgating in Happy Valley.

Now I live in San Francisco where I try to stay in stride with my Philly sports. I represent when my teams come to town. AT&T Park has a damn pretty view - but it will never be the Vet.

Oh, and I can do backflips.

Hey Erin,

I hope you've been enjoying the new and improved Bleacher Report—we're really happy with the feedback we've received so far.
