Born in Norfolk, VA in 1966, the son of immigrant parents and a military father. Have lived in greater Atlanta, GA since 1984 with the exception of 1993 when I lived in Wisconsin. A remarried widower with 2 sons.
An artist by trade, but looking to do more with Communications degree like writing and speaking.
A huge baseball fan, particularly of the Atlanta Braves. Fell in love with baseball through the 1975 World Series. Favorite players: Christy Mathewson, Carl Hubbell, Sandy Koufax, Tony Perez, Hank Aaron, Dale Murphy, Rafael Belliard, Steve Avery, Tom Glavine and Greg Maddux.
I have played the following sports competitively: softball, soccer and tennis.
My dream retirement is to get back to being by the ocean and to spend my last days with my wife on the beach, body boarding at high tide, eating fresh seafood and watching the Braves on TV.

Abner, the editor's feedback isn't working for me. I hope you don't mind if I post it on here, although feel free to delete it if you'd like.
Great article! I just did some minor things—replaced hyphens with em dashes, italicized the title of publicaitons, and beefed up your teaser. Make sure everything checks out to your liking. Good work!

Hey Abner,
I just wanted to let you know that Bleacher Report has launched out of beta with an updated look and feel and some great new features. Check out the "Game On" link in the header to find out more.
Next week we'll be launching the site to the world with some public announcements—and it'd be great to get a contribution from you between now and Tuesday to make Bleacher Report's launch a success.
Let me know if you need any help with ideas or have questions. Have a great weekend Abner!
