Greg's Bio
** Along with Alan Bass, Greg Caggiano is the co-host of the hockey radio show called NHL 2Day! Please view the official site located at http://freewebs.com/nhl2day for news regarding the show as well as past episodes. **
Where do I begin? I'm a seventeen year old who was born in Staten Island, New York and I currently live in New Jersey. I have a very simple life and enjoy reading, writing, watching and playing hockey, and could watch movies all day long. My sports teams come before anything (Yes, even schoolwork) and I'm both a die-hard New York Rangers and San Francisco Giants fan.
My favorite movies of all time are "2001: A Space Odyssey", "Full Metal Jacket", "The Shining", "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly", and "Dances with Wolves." My favorite actor and hero is John Wayne, a true American who I look up to so very much. I love old movies to the point where my friends make fun of me over it. Plain and simple, old movies are great, most new movies suck. I also love classic rock music and could listen to Neil Young all day long.
Now to my sports obsession, mainly hockey but definitely heads over to baseball once the summer rolls around. I watch every single Rangers game and watch the Giants every night on MLB Gameday seeing little blips appear on the screen telling me balls and strikes (How's that for dedication?) Ask me anything about Hockey and I'll be able to give you an answer. I have a bit of an obsession with statistics and yes, I have read media guides to kill time.
I play street hockey as much as I can and I don't mean to brag, but I have a wicked wrist shot. When I'm not playing, I coach a floor hockey team at a school nearby and hopefully instill on them the skills I've learned. I also played baseball and was a third baseman whose defense was a little better than the offense.
As for writing, I just love it. I have written a novel about the Battle of the Alamo and it is set to get published with in the next couple of years. I am currently working on another novel about the Vietnam War along with a Horror story and plan to write a science fiction story in the next year or so. When I'm not working on books or posting up a storm on the forums I belong to, I'm writing here, covering the topics I know best and try to be objective in my articles, even though sometimes the Ranger fan in me comes out.
When I get older I plan to be either a journalist or a history teacher but I am leaning towards the latter. I love history and I would love teaching it and sharing my enthusiasm for my students so they might find it fun.
That's about it, enjoy the articles!
(If you want to contact me, my email address is nyr11992004@yahoo.com and my A.I.M screen name is CRAZYHORSENYR.)

Greg, good stuff.
Although I wouldn't say the Phoenix/New York trade was the worst as I still think Fredrik Sjostrom can and will be a much better player than Marcel Hossa but one has to wonder if the Adam Hall trade was the worst considering it broke up the HMO line.
Granted they got Dupuis later on for Hall but Dupuis is doing good for Pittsburgh now, not New York.
But if Nikolai Zherdev turns out to be a bust (although he looks great so far), Fedor Tyutin continues to prosper and grow and Redden continutes to suck than that will definitely be a horrible trade, maybe his worst.
Hope all is well.

Hey dude,
Expect the Rangers preview sometime Sunday I hope....I'm not writing this weekend, so I'll have it for you when I get back to school sunday night. I'm hoping to get the Pens and Rangers done either Sunday night or Monday so I can rock the Northeast next week.
Hope that's good for you, otherwise I can send it to you another night.
Have a good one man,
BT

lol, I don't expect him to play in countless games to have the opportunity. All kidding aside, I know the baggage that comes with Hollweg, but so far he has been good for the Leafs.
He had a good camp, keeps everyone in the locker room laughing, and was very effective the other night in a pest type role.
I realize he will likely cost us games, or at least goals, but to me it's like the MLB slugger theory. They hit a lot of home runs, but most sluggers strike out a lot too. You have to take the good with the bad I guess, right?
Anyways, hope all is going well, good luck to your Rangers, I'm interested in seeing what Naslund and Zherdev can do on Broadway.

I completely forgot about the Prague trip for the Rangers...we might actually have a chance then. You do have one of the best goalies in the league, hopefully Toews, Kane and Sharp can crack him.
Oh, and I love the NHL 2Day podcast...you and Alan have great chemistry!
