"The one that invented the light tried 2,000 times and finally he did it. We have light because he spent 2,000-some times and finally he did it. I don’t want to spend 2,000 times to win Opening Day, but I think I will do it this year and go from there.’’ - Carlos Zambrano

"Playoffs?" - Jim Mora

"Were talkin' bout practice. Not a game, not a game...practice." - Allen Iverson

"I'm not at the top yet. I'm very, very good; to the naked eye it looks like, 'What more can he do?' But there's much room for improvement." - Chad Johnson

''When I'm 90 years old and talking to my grandkids and hopefully great-grandkids, I won't be the grandparent who tells them about the things I wished I had done and how they should experience life. I will be the grandparent with tons of great stories that hopefully inspires them to live their lives to the fullest.'' - Mark Cuban

"Next question," - Drew Rosenhaus

"If you're ever holding a baby and leaning out of a burning building and Bernard Berrian says, "Throw the baby, throw it to me," I implore you to explore alternatives. - Bill Simmons

    thanks!

  2. I can't help to mention that we share many of interests.

"I can't stand the White Sox; especially AJ Pierzynski, Mark Buehrle, and Ozzie Guillen. " AGREED.

    "Education Info
    College: DePaul '09
    Major: Marketing"

DePaul was my first choice, but the devastating tuition costs of the city led me to Illinois State. However, I perused the same major, Marketing.

Not to mention, our love and passion for Chicago sports.

  3. Sam, thanks for the hospitality. I look forward to the many discussions we have in the fine world that is B/R.

  4. If you get a chance to shoot me an e-mail at footballcolumn@yahoo.com, I've got a couple quick questions for you.

Also, the new "Carrying On" is up...

    Thanks!

  5. Go Wildcats!

a story i feel is getting overlooked.

    thanks!

  10. Sam,

I saw that the requests went through, congrats. Those could both be major games if Northwestern keeps playing at this current level. Regarding Rosenthal, it isn't him personally, but Foxsports.com has signed his feed up here, so it's still very cool regardless.

  11. Thanks for the help Sam. I hope I can just pick up and do as well as you did.

  12. Sam,

The Bleacher Creature Poll for week five has been released. The poll got a makeover this week!

    Kris

  14. Sam,
