Jay's Bio

5'8 140 (ding!) 2LT, United States Army. I found myself wanting to write about sports several times on my philosophy blog Applied Pragmatism (www.appliedpragmatism.blogspot.com), so I decided to open this account to get my thoughts down. I'm from Nebraska, but try to cover everything when I write. I will do game recaps from time to time, but I prefer to work from a broader angle. If you leave a comment I will do everything I can to get back to you and continue the conversation.

  1. Jay, I remember the other guy.

  2. thanks for the editing...much appreciated...GBR

  3. When I did my show at Rider, I actually never got a chance to bring the baseball team on the show as guests. Their season always conflicted with my show time.

  4. Thanks for the edits and the feedback. I usually stick to news pieces where something is summarized and facts are presented, so I'm a little new to writing my opinion into an article, which is probably why it was a little hard to find my true side in the story.

  5. Jay, I'm not working in firefox today so here's some editor's feedback.

Nice article! I tweaked your headline and teaser and also made some minor stylistic changes. Make sure everything checks out to your liking—keep up the great work!

  6. Good to see a Soldier in here Jay, from a Vet. Thanks for the service my friend. I like the articles. Looking forward to more as well.

  7. The next time I want you to edit on of my articles I will ask you.

  8. Jay,
Dude seriously I did not try to disrespect you (which I apparently did) but the going and changing every word or sentence in my story crap was a little over the top. I got no problems with you reading my articles and posting comments. Do not care if you disagree with me but just leave it at comments agreeing and dis agreeing with me.

  9. And I agree with you, to a degree. I listen to ESPN Radio everyday. However, the point is reversed. They already have this in-depth analysis on the radio, on ESPNews, on First Take. Now they want to bring the same information to another channel. They're increasing the breadth of information and not the depth.
