Brian has yet to fill out a bio.
per your request:
Read the comments section, and then tell me how much you still stand behind your arguments. Please. I can't wait for you to justify yourself in light of the actual conversation that took place.
Really? "look in the mirror"? Brian, if you look back at where this argument began, it was with you "being funny" in a way that NOBODY understood in general, much less as a joke. Furthermore, I have argued with a lot of people in the past, admitted when I've been wrong, and become pretty good friends with people that, when we met on BR, generally didn't like each other. For example, Bob Warja. The difference between your so-called "mature," 38-year old approach and theirs was that they A) didn't unsult me and then try to play it off like a "joke," B) backed up their arguments with facts, not garbage about me needing to grow up because you're 38 years old, C) when they called me into question, or I questioned them, there was validity to the questioning, not a blanket statement that was obviously proven to be wrong.
My responses to your "joke" were simple. You claimed to have "told me so" about Castro. All I did was go back to early December and October of 2009 and point out specific examples of how you, indeed, weren't telling me anything new. Your response to me simply arguing a legitimate case in my defense has been that you, for some reason, deserve respect and that I need to grow up. Well I'm sorry, but in the real world you earn respect, it isn't handed out for free, and you sir haven't earned any from me yet. When you stop making terrible "jokes," or say something valid, we'll talk. Until then, I'll stay a 30 year old that's been read over 400,000 times and who has a blog on a Tribune web site, and you stay the guy that makes terrible jokes but never writes anything of substance.
A few things, Brian. When we argued before, the Cubs bench did indeed suck. You didn't tell me anything, and never have. If that was a joke, do yourself a favor and get out of comedy. Also, I can take it as much as anyone... if it's deserved. NOTHING you have said or done has earned more than the level of respect I've given you. Simply put, you haven't written anything and you comment like you're an authority, and yet you haven't said anything of substance to back anything up. I don't get it, and don't respect it. I don't need to grow up, babe... you need to back something up before talking garbage.
Do me a favor, Brian. When you want to talk trash in the future, know who/what you're talking about. As you can see from the two links I put on the Chad Tracy piece, I have been on board w/ the Cubs getting Castro to Wrigley Field for months longer than you've even been associated with the site. On Oct. 26, I said he should get a shot at SS, and again in mid-December I said he should factor into the mix. But you're telling me that you're the original member of the Starlin Castro Bandwagon? Really?
Check out the story I wrote on Marlon Byrd. You might get a chuckle out of it. Thanks.
