Jen's Bio

What's up everyone?! Welcome to the Jen Preston homepage on Bleacher Report- I'm so pumped to be here!! Born and raised a die-hard NASCAR fan just outside KCMO, that's basically what most of my columns will be about. However, I am known for being a HUGE Yankees, Broncos and WWE fan, so you might see me from time to time venture over to those pages as well.

I'm hoping writing here will only be the beginning- a proud member of the class of 2009, I hope to go on to college and get my degree in journalism and hopefully one day I'll be read around the nation talking about the latest news and rumors in the world of NASCAR. I also cover sports for my school's newspaper, The Leash, and our yearbook, so I'm pretty busy lol

Other stuff about me- I LOVE alternative music, meeting new people, playing Grand Theft Auto and a bunch of other random things you'll just have to ask me about :)

Feel free to shoot me an e-mail anytime: panicmeatthedisco41@yahoo.com

  1. Hey Jen, that was a tough one to swallow...Brandon Stokley suffered his tenth career concussion after he scored the opening touchdown and hit his head on the ground. He said it made it even worse when teammates head-butted him after the play. He should be ready to go for the Pats, but needs to monitor the situation.

  2. Hey-
I'm the type of danica patrick fan that would love to see her succeed because she's a woman but at the same time,. she sucks. =)
Anyway, the Chase is ruined because you will never see Jimmie Johnson lose a championship, unless he loses chad knaus. but that's my opinion,
as for edwards and harvick, it's a shame that nascar didn't do anything, he shoud kids that it's ok to try and hurt someone, and that's a problem

  3. Hey Jen-
sorry it took so long to get back to you I was driving home from college. You know I'm really torn about the Edwards and Harvick thing becaue (a) I love emotion, we don't need any more Matt Kenseths but (B) they penalized Brad K and his team earlier this year and they aren't going to do the same to Harvick and Edwards. Now I don't know if punches were thrown, BUT both incidents were physical and I think that's when penalities need to be handed down because they are crossing a line.
I do love the emotion, but I think the physical contact needs to be limited. But that's just me.....

  4. thanks for the fave writer choice. i edited your "edwards, harvick" article a bit. i left a feedback note as well as a revision note. read them and let me know if you agree with the changes. if so, great. if not, i'll know what not to do next time. i also added "sprint cup" as a tag as they both are sprint cup drivers and the incident that started it all happened during a sprint cup race. just a little more exposure.

also, maybe a shorter title like:

Harvick, Edwards Battle in the Garage
    Harvick, Edwards Battle off Track
Harvick, Edwards Take it to the Garage

    what do you think?

  5. God bless that poor guy...Although what he did was terrible, I still think he should be forgiven. He was one of the suspects early on I recognize that name.

  6. Haha yeah the defense is definitely coming around. I really like the move of Jarvis Moss to LB. Could be interesting to see what he can do from that spot.

  7. Thanks Jen! I am into tire trials and tribulations I guess - especially sensitive since I just had to spend $400 to put a set on my own Chevy! Hope they last longer than those racin' ones!
    Hope you're well.
    Mary Jo

  8. I asked Bill Williamson on ESPN.com who blogs for the AFC West and he said that Lynch is unlikely to come back, but he wouldn't rule it out. I really like that article about Jack and Darrent Williams it's crazy how alike they are... Darrent was one of my favorite players

  9. Great game! I was real pleased with the defense. Winning the field position battle is a big plus for us the way the D has been playing.

  10. love your articles

  11. Jen,
Great race recap. Wanted to make sure that you're in this loop!

Wanted to make sure you saw this from Steve Saquella - way cool! Hoping that he is going to do some onsite reporting!!

I just want to announce that I will be attending the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event will be held January 13-17, 2009. It will be my first time going to this event and I am very excited as I will once again be racing against Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne. Also I will get the chance to meet my favorite NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, he will be inducted into the National Midget Auto Racing Hall of Fame sometime during the event.

Hope all is well with you!
    Mary Jo

  12. Hey thanks a lot! Thanks for takin the time to read it's always nice to meet a fellow Broncos fan.

  13. Do tell me you'll be watching the Gold Coast IndyCar race later this month. Or I'll convert you into a Jeff Gordon fan. :P hahahaha

  14. Thought I would let you know, I wrote a tribute to Paul Newman.

  15. Jen,

Great article on Toyota. Thought I would pass this information on to you, so you can add it into the article. Toyota entered the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series in Feb. of 2004, entering six trucks at Daytona International Speedway.
Travis Kvapil won their first truck race at Michigan International Speedway in 2004. In 2006 they won both the Manufacturer's Championship and Todd Bodine won Driver Championships.
In their first three years in NCTS, before they entered Nationwide and Sprint Cup. Here's their stats, 75 races, 25 victory's with 32 pole positions won and 133 top-five finishes. Got the numbers from Toyota.com>Toyota Motorsports>Craftsman Truck Series>History

    Take Care, Mike
