I'm not to sure how I stumbled upon your profile but it just upsets me that you think Russell is better than Jordan... and Montana over Unitas. that is all.
Just watched late evening coverage of already-played Memorial. Am a 8 hdcp who's mother was one of 2 secretaries at the R&A during the war. My grandfather (her father) served his apprenticeship there (St. Andrews) and came to the states as a golf pro. But I digress.
(Even with the hoopla following the Tiger saga the past couple years) I though it was a real tribute for Tiger to do the "left-hand towards the hole with the putter and slowly rising as it goes in" on the last hole to what iced the victory. It was not his normal routine for the circumstance and was obviously in full reverence of being in the presence of Jack, who of course made the move famous. I am not the fan I used to be of Tiger soley for his mockery he made of his family. But...He knows the moment, and obviously is trying and definitley still gets it.
From the coverage I watched, nobody else did.
There is nothing like golf to bring out the differences in people, but when I clicked on the link to your top 50, I admit I was very surprised to see your rankings. I really expected an all male list. You deserve a ton of credit for the list, which was very interesting and well considered, although I must say that I wouldn't have put together anywhere near the same names and definitely would not have placed the ones from your list in anywhere near the same order. Thanks for a really thought inducing and informative list. You really backed up your beliefs...
Hi Kathy - I wouldn't know a pitching wedge from a 4 Iron. But about the Science of Sex and Gender, maybe a bit more than most. Feel free to contact me offline on this.
