Erick's Bio

Erick is a 21-year-old college student attending Brooklyn College on a full scholarship. He is majoring in TV/Radio and minoring in English with the hopes of someday becomming a professional basketball analyst.

He is a lifelong NBA fan who loves not only the awe-inspiring talents of NBA players, but also the strategic chess matches between a team trying to maximize its strengths, while attacking its opponent's weaknesses.

Erick is a huge Florida Gators fan who is basking in the success of the school's recent football and basketball championships.

Erick is an encyclopedia of Simpsons quotes, loves Leslie Nielson movies, and lists T.S. Eliot, Lord Byron, and Douglas Adams as his favorite writers. He also lives on the block where the first tornado in over 100 years touched down in Brooklyn, New York. Obviously, God isn't a huge fan of Erick's, and sent a message accordingly.

  2. Hi Erick,

I have just posted my article on the best moves of the off season. I've found this a really interesting topic.

I'd love your input as a community leader.

  4. Wow T.S. Eliot indeed!

  5. Erick,

Any time and I will keep you in the loop whenever I see some free images in the sports that you cover and will pass them on to you.

    Bests,
    Sarah

  6. Erick,

One good place to start is the blogs of the individual players or teams. These have a load of photos that are taken by fans like us and are there for download once you catch up with the photographer. You can also give the photo credit to them. It will be publicity for them too. Secondly, the blogs have some stock photos that we can download.

Next comes the team sites, such as Ferrari or McLaren in Auto Racing, or Minnesota Wilds or Toronto Blue Jays in Ice Hockey for example, they have stock photos that they give to all accredited media and some to non accredited media. We can download these photos in some cases after pinging their media contact.

These are some tips that I have as of now. There are some free sites where you can download pictures. Even the Formula One official site allows you to download provided you give proper credits. Then suppliers of equipment such as Bridgestone, Goodyear, etc.,

    Thank you,
    Sarah

  7. Don't know if you know this, but you got mentioned on Canis Hoopus, a Twolves blog. Congrats!

  8. hey man, I've been a fan of yours for awhile. With you being a big b'ball fan I would like you to check out my latest article on basketball players playing football. It's just for fun, nothing serious. I don't usually do this b/c it just seems desperate to me but I value your input on this matter, if not, no sweat, thanks man

  9. Yes sir... but we're waiting until everyone plays a game this year. Keep an eye out for a huge college football announcement in a matter of hours...

  10. Sup, it's Legacy from OTR. Great work on your articles.

  11. Yeah, no-limit hold'em mainly. I like it because I'm experienced at it, and I have all the odds down pat. Omaha Hi-Lo is just a lot going on. I'm decent at it, but I haven't read much in theory of it, so I never gave it a legitimate shot.

Stud Hi-Lo is a lot more fun for me because it's a different style game with a lot going on and a lot needed to remember.

Anytime for the edit, I didn't do a whole lot anyway haha.

  12. The article is up bro. Check it out.

  13. Thanks for alerting us of the comment bug Erick—instrumental in fixing the problem.

Hope all is well back east.

  14. Hey Erick:

Loved your All-Time NBA Team article.

If you have time, please check out my All-Time Busts Team article.

Your article gave me the idea to write it, and you're credited for it in the first line.

  15. Hey Erick... Thanks for the pick of the day vote. It's nice to get recognition for a topic that is a little more serious and deeper than "Who's Favre going to play for".
