Lou's Bio
Only follow two sports closely. College football and golf. SEC fan, Gator fan. Known for my enthusiastic opposition to any kind of college football playoff system.
A small format mini-playoff will create more controversy than it will solve. A playoff system must have at least 24 teams to be credible. I am against a 24 team playoff because it will destroy the drama of the regular season.

Hey Lou. I just got a book today that I thought you'd be interested in.
It's called "Follow The Roar" by Bob Smiley.
The author followed Tiger Woods for every single hole of his 2008 season.
I have not started reading it yet but it has gotten excellent reviews.
Talk to you soon.

Hey Lou,
Sorry I didn't get to your latest article. I don't usually edit on the weekends.
Regarding creating a link, the icon is the sixth from the right (between the 123 numbering icon and the undo arrow icon). It only becomes clickable after you highlight the text you want to link.
Hope this helps!

My pleasure with the edits Lou.
As far as the hyperlink, I didn't do that, but I can explain how—you just highlight the section of text you want to be the link (usually a few words or so), then click the little chain link icon at the top of the writing box. A window will come up where you can enter the actual link in the top space and choose whether to have it open in a new window or the same window.
Hopefully that all makes sense. Let me know if you have any more questions!

No problem on the edits Lou. My guess on the article reads: Your article slipped through the cracks and hadn't been edited yet. I'm pretty sure that articles usually only get featured on front pages after an edit.

Lou, congrats on the Gators victory. They took us to the woodshed. It was an old fashioned tail-kickin'! They are a much better football team than we are.

How do playoffs "drain the juice out of a regular season." In the NFL, every week there are important games, and yes, the regular season has meaning, especially when the league is frontloaded with divisional games. Thus, allow me to politely disagree with that argument. You're afraid of a playoff. Urban Meyer and Bernie Machen both want a playoff. Why don't you join them?

So, a playoff lets inferior teams in, huh? Ohio State has been extremely inferior in the last few seasons and in a playoff they wouldn't stand a snowball's chance in hell. I guess I appreciate your insight, but we don't need any antiquated viewpoints in college football. A playoff is the best way. All other arguments pale in comparison.

Thanks for your thoughts on the BCS article. I am glad you are offering your insight. So many people want a playoff.
