Nic's Bio

Nic Gulas is currently a student at the University of Alabama who covers both Crimson Tide Football and Men's Basketball. He is also a writer for the site fansknowbest.com, another website dedicated to sports reporting by fans for fans, and is the main Sports blogger for the Crimson White, the student newspaper.

Nic spends most of his time either surfing message boards, watching big games, or working at the UA Intramural Sports Department as an official.

Nic grew up an Alabama fan and is working his way to visit every campus in the SEC over the next couple of years, having already visited Nashville, Knoxville, Starkville, Fayetteville, Oxford, Auburn, Lexington, Colombia, and Athens with Baton Rouge on the docket for this football season and finishing the tour in Gainesville during SEC baseball season.

Nic, I like the idea of your message board discussions. Seems like a good way to stimulate the Bama community.
I might steal that idea some day down the line, I don't have a whole ton of writers right now but I'm trying to recruit some more. And the ones I have now pretty much write whenever they can.

I caught your entry Monday about your plans and I'll be sure to look for it during my "surfing."

Consider this an invitation. The board I help run, rolltidebama.com , is always looking for good input on different subjects. We'd love to have you join the group...in fact, if you wanted, we'd be glad to post some of your blog entries and thoughts as well on our blog.

It's a pretty laid back group....last thing we would ever want to do is ban a Bama fan...and if you have been around a lot of forums you KNOW that happens a lot.

Nic,

From now until the opening weekend of college football I am going to be writing articles requesting votes for the All-Time Greatest College Football Team. Each article will request votes for the best player at each individual position, as well as a head coach. The week before the opening weekend of the season, I will tally up the votes and submit a fan’s voted, “Bleacher Report All-Time Greatest College Football Team.”

I don’t usually solicit reads for an article, but I am for this one. Because obviously it would require reads for votes, and votes for a team.

Hope you enjoy the debate over who’s the greatest in college football history. It should be interesting.

You need to drop the following code into your img tag:

style="margin: 0px 8px 8px 0pt; float: left"

or

style="margin: 8px; float: right"

depending on what side you want the image on. BR standards call for an image at the top of the article, on the left-hand side, with any additional images alternating right-left down the page.

hey nic, i'm not sure that there's really a set way to do it. I just usually play around with the spacing and get it to work. if you're still not getting it work, i would ask Zander Freund and I'm sure he would help you out. Hope that helps.
