Writing your own bio is the worst.

If you've made it this far, however, presumably you'd like to know something about me.

My name is Matt Krummel. I'm from Racine, WI. I am not a professional writer, but have always thought of myself as a writer at heart.

Being from Wisconsin, I am a diehard Packers fan and am still coming down from the high of Super Bowl XLV. I love basketball, and closely follow the Milwaukee Bucks and Wisconsin Badgers (in all sports, really). I am also a huge Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan.

Basically, I live and breathe sports.

I hold a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago (2006) and a M.S. in Comparative Political Economy from The London School of Economics (2007).

I played NCAA Division 1 Golf at Loyola, and continue to compete in amateur tournaments.

I will do my best to write compelling pieces on a range of topics and sports, and welcome any feedback or suggestions you might have.

Feel free to contact me directly at, or follow me on Twitter,!/InspectorKrum.

    Hey Matt,

I just read your 10 Most Hated NFL Franchises and had a few thoughts. As a 49ers fan living in Michigan for 17 years I can say that my MI and CA friends all hate the Packers. I live in Whitewater, WI now and can definitely say that Packers fans are so far indoctrinated to blindly love the Packers that it is almost hysterical...

As far as the Packers organization being in a league of winning all to themselves, I strongly beg to differ. NFL championships mean nothing. Example: Every Detroit Lions fan states that the Lions won many championships. Those statements are immediately dismissed by every current NFL fan who roots for a different franchise. 10 or 11 NFL championships do not even come close to equaling one Super Bowl or the Lions organization would have some pride. To look at the Steelers, 49ers, or Cowboys with 5 and 6 Super Bowl wins and say that 4 wins and some championships is greater seems to be an epic stretch.

On a positive note, I thought the rest of the article was really good!

I floated this idea to Tony Santorosa as well but he was didn't get the message in time. So he made this article instead. It's a nice compliment to yours

There's currently an article floating around about the NFL's best fanbases. Someone brought up the idea that someone should write an article called the Top 10 Most Hated Teams in the NFL. That sounds like it would get lots of views and have at least 1000 comments. I don't write articles but I thought maybe you might be interested in tackling that one. Let me know.

What a great article and conversation you started. It really helped me get through the final stages of grief, denial, anger...and now acceptance. JUST KIDDING! (but not really) Seriously though, kudos!
