  1. i like what you put for most unbreakable sports record....you're right...that'll never get broken

  2. Hey Ross, check it out:

    Thanks

  3. Um, no.

  4. Good stuff on the Billups/Iverson trade. I didn't want to comment on the article because my thoughts on the trade will be in my FoxSports.com article for tomorrow. It should be up around noon tomorrow. The only thing I'll say is that this trade had much more to do with the future than it did with the present. I don't expect the win totals of either team to be altered dramatically. You have to ask yourself if this trade helps the Pistons against the Celtics and it doesn't--especially if McDyess ends up going to the Celtics after being bought out by Denver.

  5. Hey Ross, check out my complete recap of the Phillies' playoff run.

  9. Ross, I checked out your article and left a comment for you. I feel your pain in terms of trying to increase readership, that can be a tough one. I struggle with that myself. A catchy (and controversial) headline helps sometimes, sometimes not. An out-of-the-ordinary picture to accompany your headline (a nice babe sometimes?) is occasionally useful. But people are fickle. If you can get it out on other blogs, websites, etc, that is a huge advantage. But almost 500 reads is pretty damn good, you shouldn't be too concerned with that kind of response.

Getting feedback (comments) and generating debate is also difficult and I don't have any answers unfortunately. I recently wrote an "Open Mic" piece asking (practically begging) for input and got not one comment.

Best of luck to you. Check out BR writers tips, I believe they have some useful suggestions.

  10. Hey Ross, just wrote a piece on Philly fans. Check it out:

  13. Hey Ross, just wanting to let you know you've done a terrific job so far, I hope to see more good work.
