Colin's Bio

I first entered the broadcast industry at the age of 14 while I was a freshman at Thomas McKean High School. He started out as a Disc Jockey for the school’s radio station, 88.1 FM WMHS, and quickly rose to the top of the class. Not only confined to the DJ booth, I was also a news and sports anchor for the station, going out to record interviews at school events and with people involved with the 2004 elections.

During his senior year I hosted two shows every day, doing the morning and afternoon drive shifts. He also ran the board for the stations very first remote broadcast and for the first play-by-play broadcasts for McKean’s basketball and football games.

For a small part of my freshman year I was the Executive Producer for McKean’s morning television show, which was broadcasted over the school on a closed circuit system. I was also a frequent guest on 1450 WILM’s student journalist night, which was a roundtable discussion with students from all over the state.

During my second semester at Delaware Tech he joined The River 92.9 as an intern. After working with the promotions department, I was enlisted to the UD Football broadcast team as a Production Assistant for the 2006 season. After the football team ended their season I joined the station as an employee, running the board for the broadcasts for the UD Basketball games and the Wilmington Blue Rocks. This season will be my second as Studio engineer during all the football
