I am a junior at the University of Vermont and work for the student newspaper. I am originally from Chicago, and am a huge Cubs, Bulls and Bears fan and, of late, the Blackhawks. While I am ashamed of the MLS at times, Blanco and the Fire are beginning to change my mind. Love Real Madrid and La Liga.

Hey Dakota,

Inspired by the NFL section, I'm thinking of starting a World Football 'Power Rankings" - where some of the best brains from our humble section rank the 20 best teams in Europe.

Basically, I was hoping you would be keen to lend your weight to the project. It shouldn't be too much work - maybe half an hour to compose your list the first week and 5 mins or so each time in future as you re-jig it a bit.

If you could just drop a note on my bulletin board to say whether you are interested in participating or not (and include your email if you are - I will delete it once I have it), I would really appreciate it. If you could do that by Friday that would be great, then I can get on with the next stage in the process.

Yeah, it was a frustrating match. Madrid needs to find a better game plan than giving the ball to Robben in the wings, because they had two guys on him everytime he touched the ball. For all his talents sometimes he is too predictable. If I can predict when he is gonna shoot, then you know a pro footballer can. I am also mad we didn't get a replacement. Higuain and even Drenthe will get chances until the winter transfer window then we will see what happens. But I bet it will be VDV, Guti, with Diarra/Gago and Robben running both wings. I really thought that Guti would be coming off the bench this season. I hope they get it together after the internationals but if you can remember last year, we had trouble every game after international players return from their duty.

Hey, what did you think of Robinho going to City? Am I the only one who didn't see this coming? I knew that he wasn't going to be in Chelsea or Madrid but really I didn't expect him to go to Manchester City. That team just became a Champions League contender. You've got Wright-Phillips on the right, Robinho on the left, they are going to cause some trouble in the league.

Chicago must have been great growing up with the Bears and Cubs, my aunt is from Chicago, I am a huge Bears fan and love the Cubs... I had a bears uniform at the age of 6 full gear, I think the neighbours must have thought the aliens had landed in Scotland when I walked down the street with the full kit on to show my friends lol...

Hey Dakota,
Thanks for the edits.

Well, The Top Four is usually used to describe Man Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea which is why I think after looking at it in different articles on different networks that the Top Four is the correct version, just like Bottom Three.

They could also be called the Big Three..Well, like Andrew said numbers are mostly used for scores only.
They don't make a might difference though..do I make sense?

Hey mate

No problem. Well I was taught any number 1-10 should be spelled out unless it's a score. But I don't mind it either way.

So if you want to take the 4 as in a number of teams then say four but if it's the league positions then 4, I suppose.

Make any sense lol?

I think the chances of Robinho leaving Madrid is getting bigger and bigger. Reports have indicated he wants to leave after being treated like a pawn to lure C. Ronaldo. I honestly don't blame him but if this should happen, I am going to be really upset at Real Madrid's management. I am really hoping he stays but it looks like he doesn't want to be in Madrid anymore.

Hey D, I'll check out the Van article in a second it is a great singing and to be honest I would be happier with that than Ronaldo and then some, a great balance to the midfield anything is possible with him and he can open up teams as well as his fantastic scoring ratio.

I saw the Barca game and I am raring to go I am very happy with how we look, I caught the Fiorentina game also and it was quite something. Eto'o has impressed I am a huge fan, if he would stay injury free he can reclaim his crown...

I've not had a chance to post on this yet - The Sneijder injury is a real piece of poor luck - I think he was all set to be really influential in midfield this season. They're now saying it's a 3-month lay-off instead of 6 months, but it's still going to take a while.

On the positive side, VDV is a good signing - I was hoping he'd be used more as a replacement for Guti; I guess now we'll get a chance to see them play alongside each other until Wesley comes back

I had to delete something off the article though .

It was down twice about Maradona , once under Eusebio and under Pele too , it looked like i was repeating myself .

I have changed none of the edit that you did , just erased that bit from under Pele's name .

Yes it is better to go with my true feelings but the last revision of the article got some silly comments , when i made it clear that they was just my personal favourites and choices .

It turned into a full blown argument , and didnt look good on the article .

It is ok though as i do rate Eusebio highly .
