Jeff's Bio
http://aclevelanderinexile.blogspot.com
Jeff (formerly Dr. Poove') is a born and raised Clevelander, from THE 'Ville, who spent four years of college in Pittsburgh at THE Carnegie Mellon University from 1995-1999 where he couldn't even root for his beloved Browns. This has left him cursed to have a friend pool of half Browns fans and half Steelers fans.
He currently lives in exile in the Nation's Capital waiting for that fateful day when "You Know Who" dies and he can sneak up to Baltimore and tinkle on his grave. Why? Because "You Know Who" deserves it.
Jeff was born catholic but was taught to worship the Buckeyes on Saturday and the Browns on Sunday. He also lives and dies with the Indians and still follows the Cavs.
Jeff can be reached at smirnoff.jeff@gmail.com and welcomes any feedback, even from Steeler fans.

Favorite Sports Teams
Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Cavaliers, Ohio State Buckeyes
All Time Sports Moment
Hasn't happened yet. Cleveland needs to win something while I am alive first. Maybe when I pee on Art Modell's grave? That would be glorious.
Most Memorable Game Attended
I attended the game before "The Shot" at the Richfield Coliseum. Most amazing sports atmosphere I've ever been in.
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
Joe Dimaggio - 56 game hitting streak.
Ruth or Mays?
Mays. Despite sending the Tribe into a tailspin in 1954. Better all around player.
Unitas or Montana?
Montana. Unitas learned everything he knew from THE MAN Otto Graham. Montana delivered in the clutch more that Johnny U as well.
Jordan or Russell?
MJ - Best ever hands down. This from a Cavs fan.
Gretzky or Orr?
Gretzky. No doubt. Even I watched hockey for Gretzky.
Pele or Maradona?
Pele. It comes down to Brazil versus Argentina. Argentinians are overly arrogant, IMHO.
Federer or Sampras?
Federer. It's not his fault the talent pool isn't as large.
Tiger or Nicklaus?
Nicklaus until Tiger passes him. Ultimately, it will be Tiger.
Petty or Earnhardt?
The Intimidator. Petty may be a bit more iconic but I think Dale Sr. left more of an imprint on the sport.
Schumacher or Senna?
Pass.
Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?
Big Ten. I'm a homer. But it's nowhere near the best conference in football or basketball.

Hey Jeff,
I am one of the two NFL community leaders here at Bleacher Report, if I haven't introduced myself to you yet, Hello!
There will be a contest here at BR involving NFL writing. The format will divide the contestants into divisions where they will face off head-to-head each week and tally an overall record throughout the season.
The matchups will be judged on number of reads. There will be a Community Leader assigned to each division to keep track of total reads and report on the winners and losers.
I was wondering if you would be interested in assuming the role as head of a division?
I'm really excited about this latest contest, so please get back to me as soon as possible!

Actually loyalty was the reason I stopped being an Indians fan. Because they aren't loyal to their players who the city loved. Seeing the late '90's teams torn apart for no reason other than being cheap in a sport with no salary cap. Kept watching Manny after he left and continued on to be a Red Sox fan. Before you even ask.. yes I still am, but yes I do still follow Manny and root for him to continue to be the best hitter in baseball in LA.

Glad to have you among my favorites. Wrote a new one that I hope will give all of us Browns fans a glimmer of hope. Let me know what you think.

Hey Jeff, just giving our community a heads up on my soon to be very light work load here. I just accepted a new position at Kenyon College doing some IT work and on top of moving, B/R will have to take a back seat for a while. So the Tribe talk series will be on hiatus for the time being. I will stick around and comment up articles and be involved, just won't post very much other than my fantasy gig I have with seamheads.com. Anyway, til we discuss Tribe baseball again, Go Tribe!
P.S. If you will be doing a Browns' roundtable this season for that community I'd be interested in contributing. If not no big deal, just throwing my name in if so. TTYL

Hey Doctor, I'm not working in firefox tonight so here's some editor's feedback.
Great article! I just worked with the spacing of your subheadings and corrected the serial commas. Make sure everything checks out to your liking—keep up the awesome work!

We have a lot in common. Cleveland teams. DC area. Catholic. Van Halen (Sam AND Dave). I have an extended family in the Youngstown area that is made up of an equal helping of Steelers and Browns fans. Nice.
Thanks for the comments. Later.

Thanks. Your link is up on Ohio.com. Don't know how much traffic it will get for your article since the blog is pretty new, but we'll see what happens. I appreciate you allowing me to link to it.
If you go to ohio.com - click on indians in the pulldown, the blog title is "Is Mark Shapiro a Bonehead".

Dr. Jeff.
Mind if I post a link to your "who's to blame?" article on Ohio.com blogs? Some posts there are voicing similar views and I thought I'l send them over to your expertly written article as support.
