All Time Sports Moment
"And look who's comin' up! ... All year long, they looked to him to light the fire and all year long, he answered the demands, until he was physically unable to start tonight——with two bad legs: The bad left hamstring, and the swollen right knee. And, with two out, you talk about a roll of the dice... this is it ... 3-and-2. Sax waiting on deck, but the game right now is at the plate ... High fly ball into right field, she i-i-i-is... gone!! ... In a year that has been so improbable... the impossible has happened!"
Most Memorable Game Attended
Notre Dame vs. USC, 2005
Most Unbreakable Sports Record
Babe Ruth, 1927 - Hit 14% of all homeruns hit in the league that year (60 total) ... for a player to do the same today would require over 300 homeruns. You want a more "common" record. Fine. Wilt's 100 points in a single game will never be broken.
Ruth or Mays?
Ruth.
Unitas or Montana?
Montana.
Pele or Maradona?
I know absolutely nothing about soccer.
Pac 10, Big 12, Big 10, SEC, ACC, or Big East?
Pac 10. Historical and modern success, legendary players and coaches, academic excellence, and integrity. No other conference comes close. For the record, the Big 10 is by far the worst when it comes to those categories.
