Ryan's Bio

Born and raised on the mean streets of the suburbs of Cincinnati Ohio. Forever a Buckeyes, Reds and Bengals fan, but after living in Phoenix and Orange County California, I also follow the Suns, Angels and Ducks.

I graduated from Chapman University in Orange County in 2006 with a BA in English and emphasis in journalism. I toiled in the news, sports and opinions departments on the campus newspaper, "The Panther" for three years. I also freelanced for the Orange County Register's sports department, covering high school football games for three years.

After suffering through the Bengals of the 1990s (and today, with only a small hope of redemption in 2005), the Reds of the 2000s and Ohio State football during the Cooper years, I've developed a pessimistic attitude toward my favorite teams. The only good Ohio team I followed growing up was the Cincinnati Cyclones, but they've folded and relocated so many times I've lost count. Nine times out of ten, if I post a comment bashing the Buckeyes, I'm being facetious and blowing off steam. 90% of what I say isn't meant to be taken seriously.

Regardless, I'm one of the Community Leaders for Ohio State football on the Bleacher Report, so please contact me with any questions, comments or suggestions you have regarding our beloved Buckeyes and their success on the gridiron.

I also occasionaly write sports articles for my blog, "Worst Case Scenario" (http://buckeyenative01.blogspot.com/) when I'm not being cynical about other things. I'm proud to say that my blog is read by three of my best friends and my mom (who said my blog is kewl)
