The Brewer and free-agent 38 year old catcher Gregg Zaun have agreed to a one-year deal.

The deal includes a $2.25 million option for 2011 with a $250,000 buyout, meaning Zaun is guaranteed $2.15 million.

Zaun who was with the Rays last year played as a back up to Dioner Navarro.

This deal makes sense because the Rays a couple days ago acquired catcher Kelly Shoppach from the Indians.

Now the Brewers have three catchers as in the following Mike Rivera, Angel Salome, and now Gregg Zaun.
