Analyst, Social Analytics

Responsibilities:

Bleacher Report's analytics team is seeking an analyst to track and analyze Bleacher Report’s social content and monitor various key data points for our video and graphics content as well as audit numerous social KPIs and traditional site metrics. This role will require someone to extensively analyze data and report on key findings for specific pieces of content to determine what factors led to either its success or its under-performance. In addition, the individual may be responsible for weekly/monthly metrics summary reports that will be distributed to key stakeholders. This person will also have a large role in assisting with the analytics processes for our newer portfolio brands (B/R Hoops, B/R Gaming, B/R Gridiron, B/R Betting, etc.) and will be expected to help relay social data to the leads for these newer brands and help inform strategy and decision making as these accounts develop and grow. Other responsibilities will include communicating updated social data for the marketing and PR teams as needed. This role will have a heavy focus on social analytics. 

  • Managing and tracking social content production and assets through our social CMS (Sprinklr) 

  • Logging of video, social data and traditional site metrics 

  • Providing sales estimates for sponsored and branded campaigns 

  • Tracking key data from various industry competitors 

  • Updating marketing and sales presentations with timely demographic and engagement data 

  • Performing routine checks on social CMS tool (Sprinklr) for errors or inaccuracies and engage support team as needed to troubleshoot identified issues 

  • Gather and package data for our premium shows (Game of Zones, Gridiron Heights, etc.) to be dispersed to content creators, marketing team and other various stakeholders 

  • Assist PR team with updated and relevant data for press releases and other initiatives 

  • Generating daily and weekly analytics reports and snapshots 

  • Support analytics team members in ongoing reporting and one-off projects

Requirements:

  • We’re looking for a sports fanatic who also knows how to read and react to data.

  • Data entry experience required.

  • Possess strong writing and communication skills and is very organized. 

  • Creative, analytical and critical thinking to be able to identify and surface notable social trends as they shape over time. 

  • Undergraduate degree required. Business, Math/Economics, Marketing/Advertising, or Communications degrees are  preferred. 

  • Must be comfortable with a flexible work schedule. 

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets as well as familiarity with analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Omniture or Interana.

IT Ops Engineer

Responsibilities:

Facilitating technical support throughout the organization; managing internet routers, switches, networking, and ISPs, managing our cloud-based IT services, hardware/software upgrades and licensing, and working alongside the operations team.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Providing technical support across the company (in person and remotely)
  • Assists with completion of daily critical system checks and maintenance as defined
  • Resolves issues, prioritizing based on business impact and escalating when needed to senior

Qualifications:

Manager of Biz Ops + Strategy

The Manager of Biz Ops + Strategy plays a critical role in supporting strategic, operational, and organizational initiatives. This person will work with senior leadership and key stakeholders across B/R throughout the entire operations lifecycle: strategy, planning, execution, goal measurement, and ensuring accountability.  Initial focus will be on People Operations, supporting the HR and Office Operations teams on numerous projects and initiatives by building processes & infrastructure that connect long-term strategy to near-term tactics/execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with departmental and operational leaders to clarify and communicate strategic goals to managers and teams responsible for planning and execution. Managers coordinate and regularly attend planning meetings to support and ensure consistency of project planning, taking the lead on identifying clear action items, milestones, goals, deadlines and project owners/collaborators. 
  • Partner closely with project/initiative owners to ensure all deliverables are understood, moving forward as expected, and on target for completion. He/she will keep all relevant stakeholders looped in on essential communication and ensure the right people are connected to each other.
  • Coordinate with leaders tasked with planning and execution to establish measurable team and individual goals that align with the company’s overall strategic objectives.

Requirements:

About the Role

B/R is hiring a Research Analyst on the Sales Analytics & Research team, reporting to the Senior Research Manager or Director of Sales Analytics & Research.  The Research Analyst is responsible for supporting all stages of ad effectiveness and custom thought leadership research executions from inception to delivery.  Successful candidates will possess strong intellectual curiosity and a passion for achieving practical business goals.  Skills in problem solving and data analysis will also be critical.  This position will be based in the New York office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in all stages of ad effectiveness research, including feasibility, study design, field management, data analysis as well as drafting presentations and actionable insights. 

  • Support Sr. Research Manager in day-to-day management of brand survey lifts, creative/copy testing, attribution, sales impact, and other ad effectiveness study types. 

  • Work closely with Sales, Planners, Client Strategy and Account Teams to gather all necessary campaign details in order to assess ad effectiveness study feasibility, design, and cost.

  • Begin to mine, analyze, and deliver data and insights from campaign findings to help inform sales strategies.

  • Monitor and track research studies to ensure projects are executed and completed on time.

  • Assist Sales Analytics on an ad-hoc basis. 

  • Liaise with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients. 

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of primary research (quantitative and qualitative) experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience working in digital media preferred. 
  • Familiar with third-party research providers including, Millward Brown, Dynata, Nielsen, etc., is a plus.
  • Experience with statistical analysis preferred (i.e. prior exposure to SPSS, SQL, R, Tableau).

Reporting to the Office Manager, the Administrative Assistant will provide various support services to the SF office staff and 6 executives. This person will be responsible for maintaining office appearance, supplies (including food/drink stocking), and will assist with the planning and execution of events.

    • Calendar management
    • Cordinating travel arrangements
    • Expense Management
    • Assist with varius meeting/event planning such as offsite, all hands, leadership meetings (booking conference rooms, group reservations, catering, and other logistics)
    • Wrk closely with Leadership execs’ direct reports (as well as their reports) to help them prioritize joint meetings, travel, and other miscellaneous administrative needs

Senior Analyst, App Analytics

Bleacher Report's analytics team is seeking an experienced analyst to focus on our award-winning app.  This person will play a key role in improving and developing new and existing product features as well as helping inform content distribution and audience growth initiatives.  

Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside app/distribution stakeholders to inform a data-driven growth strategy. 

  • Maintain regular reporting around key app metrics and support various departments through insights. 

  • Perform deep dives into app behaviors and trends while focusing on analysis that will support programming/content distribution and at the same time educate our stakeholders through learnings. 

  • Support new and emerging initiatives around the app (i.e. Community, Social features) through measurement of data and making recommendations around ways to succeed.  

  • Work with project managers to build/maintain dashboards on our in-house data platform around new and existing features.  

  • Through a strong knowledge of our metrics, proactively evaluate the impact of new features to our audience; while constantly thinking about how we can make it even better and ensuring we are measuring the proper KPIs.

  • Display an overarching knowledge of our platform through understanding of event definitions and maintaining consistency across the platform. 

  • Analyze our data at a deep level; perform troubleshooting and maintenance and be proactive about making recommendations to improve. 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years experience working in an Analyst or Senior Analyst role. Digital media background preferred. 

  • Ability to perform complex data queries.  Proficient in Interana or platforms such as Google Analytics and Omniture.

  • Familiarity with SQL, advanced spreadsheet functions, regular expressions and other data-related languages.

  • Ability to influence and inform through strong writing and communication skills.
