Senior Producer, Branded Content

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, NYC-based Senior Producer to join our Branded Content department. The branded content team creates relevant and exciting stories for the Bleacher/Report audience, in partnership with brands. 

The Branded Content team will be tasked with bringing the industry-leading voice and distribution strategy to brand partners. The Branded Content studio will work with brands to concept video, text, interactive and live events platforms and then execute the ideas with internal and external partners.

The Senior Producer is responsible for directing and/or producing top-level productions as well as managing and mentoring junior producers on the team. Senior Producer will also assist the Supervising Producer in identifying new storytelling trends and elevating content capabilities of the Branded Content Team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and/or produce top-level productions
  • Efficiently manage and mentor other producers on the Branded Content Team
  • Responsible for driving and elevating Bleacher Report’s filmmaking capabilities
  • Work with Supervising Producer on story planning, pitch process and feature segments
  • Plan future campaigns and story coverage in conjunction with content, programming, and analytic teams
  • Create and Track Budgets and Schedule across multiple campaigns pre-sale and post-sale

About You:

  • Expert Filmmaker
  • 7+ years of video production experience
  • Expert in production management, post-production supervision 
  • Must have producer and director credits
  • Experience working with SAG and IATSE
  • Experience working with A-List Talent in sports, music, and culture
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic skills
  • Must be adept at supporting creative teams to ensure strategic integrity from start of project to finish
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Assistant Production Technician (Temp)

Assistant Production Technician (Temp): 

Bleacher Report is looking to hire an Assistant Production Technician to work in our busy production environment. This entry level position will be working with the production services team at our studios in NYC. 

Responsibilities:

  • Production technician for all internal production shoots. This includes the setup and video shooting of all in-house events, sales conferences, and internal operations/company shoots. Some travel may be required for these events.
  • Production Utility for all studio shoots. This includes assisting Production Technicians with studio camera and lighting setups, help dressing sets with props, or running production errands such as picking up or returning gear to rental houses.
  • Assist as a camera operator on in-house social shoots. 
  • Provide photography services for Live Events in NY Office/Local NYC based events. This includes still photography and photo booth photography (equipment provided by Bleacher Report) .
  • Provide light photo retouching of images from events in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Television/Video production or media field.
  • 1-2 years experience shooting video with DSLR/A7s cameras in an event setting. Basic understanding of camera and audio setups for events. 
  • 1-2 years of still photography shooting experience with a minimum of 1+ years working in an event photography atmosphere. Must be able to showcase examples of work. 
  • 1 year of still photography retouching.
  • Knowledge of camera best practices such as camera ISO, Aperture, White Balance and lens control. Strong knowledge of photo/video lighting is required.
  • Experience building product backgrounds such as white seamless to photograph marketing items.

Assistant Video Editor

About the Role:

As part of our Edit team, you will work assisting video editors in all ways including but not limited to

  • Keeping video files organized and up-to-date

  • Organizing and preparing projects for editors

  • Syncing audio and video footage

  • Acting as a liaison with the Media Asset Team in ingesting, labelling, and archiving video

  • Handling exports and deliverables for all social platforms

About You:

  • High school degree requirement

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred

  • Minimum 1-2 years assistant editing experience

  • Competent knowledge of the four major sports

  • A problem-solver with exceptional organizational and time management skills

Realtime Highlights Editor (Temp)

Realtime Highlight Editor Position

Bleacher Report is looking to hire a temporary Realtime Highlights Editor to assist with a high volume of College Football, UEFA and NBA highlights, editing quick real time highlights and creative longer form for social. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You’ll also be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Fulfill real time highlight requests from our Social and App teams quickly and efficiently by utilizing a video clipping service, WSC, as well as editing from raw game melt footage for UEFA, College Football and NBA
  • Edit high quality style hype tapes, reels and video for all social platforms and YouTube 
  • Edit different versions of source video with each version being optimized for the social platform destination
  • Distribute clips to appropriate publishing channels and into a CMS to be featured on the Bleacher Report website
  • Ability to work nights and weekends a must

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 2-3 years experience editing in a professional environment
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines without direct supervision
  • Great communication skills and attention to detail
  • Familiar with all social platforms

About the Role:

The Social Stories team is looking for an experienced, dedicated NYC-based Producer to create videos for our social channels that cover a variety of sports as well as sports culture. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You'll also be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and networks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pitch, plan and produce multiple videos each week for B/R’s social platforms
  • Research story ideas and find supporting information efficiently
  • Display a knowledge across pop culture, multiple sports and social media platforms
  • Be able to tell an effective, coherent story through video in B/R’s social voice
  • Show an eagerness to learn, a hunger to work hard, and an ability to get things done
  • Plan future events and story coverage in conjunction with content and programming teams
  • Teach best practices to junior producers and production assistants
  • Work with production leadership to schedule editing and post-production needs
  • Show creativity and be a thought and idea leader


Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience in video production, social video or related field
  • Strong writing and producing skills
  • Expert knowledge of multiple sports and various social media platforms
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work with production and editing staff at all levels
  • Accomplished researcher and creative thinker who knows how and where to find great stories
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively and efficiently
  • Proven skills in working with talent and interview subjects
  • Knowledge of digital post-production process using Adobe and Apple software
  • Final Cut or Adobe Premiere editing knowledge and understanding preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
