Senior Producer, Branded Content

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, NYC-based Senior Producer to join our Branded Content department. The branded content team creates relevant and exciting stories for the Bleacher/Report audience, in partnership with brands. 

The Branded Content team will be tasked with bringing the industry-leading voice and distribution strategy to brand partners. The Branded Content studio will work with brands to concept video, text, interactive and live events platforms and then execute the ideas with internal and external partners.

The Senior Producer is responsible for directing and/or producing top-level productions as well as managing and mentoring junior producers on the team. Senior Producer will also assist the Supervising Producer in identifying new storytelling trends and elevating content capabilities of the Branded Content Team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and/or produce top-level productions
  • Efficiently manage and mentor other producers on the Branded Content Team
  • Responsible for driving and elevating Bleacher Report’s filmmaking capabilities
  • Work with Supervising Producer on story planning, pitch process and feature segments
  • Plan future campaigns and story coverage in conjunction with content, programming, and analytic teams
  • Create and Track Budgets and Schedule across multiple campaigns pre-sale and post-sale

About You:

  • Expert Filmmaker
  • 7+ years of video production experience
  • Expert in production management, post-production supervision 
  • Must have producer and director credits
  • Experience working with SAG and IATSE
  • Experience working with A-List Talent in sports, music, and culture
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic skills
  • Must be adept at supporting creative teams to ensure strategic integrity from start of project to finish
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

About the Role:

The Shows team is looking for an experienced NYC-based Producer to create shows at the intersection of sports and culture featuring Bleacher Report talent as well as external guests. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You'll be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and departments.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pitch, plan, produce, and post-produce multiple digital videos each week
  • Research ideas and find supporting information efficiently
  • Know how to organize and manage a team
  • Collaborate with talent on show topics and segments
  • Show creativity and be a thought and idea leader
  • Display a knowledge across multiple sports and areas
  • Show an eagerness to learn, a hunger to work hard, and an ability to get things done
  • Plan and develop a schedule in conjunction with content, programming, and analytic teams
  • Work with production leadership to schedule editing and post-production needs

Requirements:

  • Accomplished researcher and creative thinker who knows how and where to find interesting stories
  • Strong writing and producing skills
  • Sports fan who can think outside the box
  • Expert knowledge of multiple sports
  • 4+ years feature producing video content
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with production and editing staff at all levels
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively and efficiently
  • Proven skills in working with talent and interview subjects
  • Experience with all forms of visual storytelling, digital and linear
  • Knowledge of digital post-production process using Adobe and Apple software
  • Final Cut or Adobe Premiere editing knowledge and understanding preferred

Senior Video Editor

About the Role:

As part of our Edit team, you will work on a variety of projects from Social Media to News to mini Docs. Bleacher Report Video is on the cutting edge of the sports and entertainment industries so we’ll be asking you to push your creative boundaries. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to edit according to storyboards, tight scripts, and brand guidelines or with basic concepts and little direction

  • Edit a wide range of videos such as branded content, daily social videos, mini-features, music videos, multi-cam shoots, sales sizzles

  • Edit different versions of a source video with each version being optimized for the social platform destination

  • Ability to work in high pressure, fast-paced production environment with quick turnarounds

  • Ability to adapt to changes in production plan/schedules

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 5+ years editing in a professional environment

  • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, proficient in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects

  • Proficient  in color correction, audio mixing and mixdowns

  • Great communication skills - be able to give and receive critical feedback in a team environment

  • Knowledge of the Four Major Sports

  • Familiar with all social platforms

  • You are up to date on post production technologies and process

  • Strong storytelling skills

Temporary Production Assistant, Social Stories

The Social Stories team is looking for a dedicated NYC-based production assistant (temporary) to assist in the creation of videos for our social channels that cover a variety of sports as well as sports culture. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You'll also be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and networks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in researching and producing content ideas
  • Compile video and photo assets across all social platforms
  • Get content quality controlled (QC’d) and published to CMS
  • Keep databases up to date for all content posted to B/R's social platforms
  • Pitch compelling video ideas that are in line with B/R’s voice
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong writing and researching skills
  • Expert knowledge of multiple sports, pop culture and various social media platforms
  • Ability to communicate ideas effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to work in a team environment with flexible work schedule, including some nights and weekends
  • Basic web publishing skills a plus

This is a temporary assignment to start ASAP with a targeted end date of May 3, 2019. This position is not eligible for benefits.
