Both the Los Angeles Clippers and the New Orleans Hornets are on nice over runs right now, and we look for that to continue tonight, with what looks to us like a rather modest total.

The Clippers have now lost nine consecutive games to fall to a woeful 8-27 for the season, and the problem has been an extremely generous defense. The Clips are allowing 100.1 points per game overall this season and 101.7 points per game on the road.

However, they have actually been even worse than that during this nine-game skid, and they have allowed at least 106 points in three of their last four games. The Clippers have now gone over in five consecutive games and also do not forget that the Hornets hung 114 and 111 points, respectively, in the two head-to-head meetings here in New Orleans last season. Both were easy overs.

The Hornets are capable of at least approaching 110 points here again in their current form. They has gone over in three straight games, and that includes scoring 116 points in an upset win vs. the Lakers in Los Angeles. Now, the Lakers are not known for their defense, but they are still better defensively than the other team from LA that the Bees are facing tonight.

Look for the total point output tonight to closely mirror the two meetings between these teams here at the Bayou last season.
