Recently, ever year I see the same teams make it to the playoffs: The Patriots, The Colts, The Cowboys, The Chargers, so on so forth. And almost every recent year I see the same teams do bad: The Falcons, The Raiders, The Dolphins, The Redskins.
Although, in some divisions, (barely any) it's actually a somewhat challenge to predict who's going to do bad, medium, good, or great.
For example, NFC South. The Buccaneers, The Saints, The Falcons, and the Panthers. I like 0 of these teams, all of them are not the Raiders/Vikings; I hate them! But I still like the division because they send different teams to the playoffs. Here's what I mean: The Buccaneers, bad. The Falcons, bad. The Panthers bad to medium. The Saints, since their NFC championship appearance, could be anything.
Another example: the NFC North. The Bears, The Lions, The Packers, The Vikings. Now, the Vikings are in this division, so there is a team I like in this division, and the division I like. But that's not the only reason I like the NFC North, their somewhat unpredictable. The Bears, medium to good. The Lions, bad to medium. The Packers, since their recent NFC championship appearance, anything. And the Vikings, bad to medium. That's 4/4 for somewhat unpredictable teams!
- B/R Ticket Guide
Of course, there's the other type of division. The 'I can predict who's good and bad before the wink of an eye' division. The 'always the same' division. And, the 'No thinking needed' division.
Example, the AFC East; The Bills, The Dolphins, The Jets, and The Patriots. The Bills, bad. The Dolphins, bad. The Jets, medium. The Patriots, very good. Notice how without the Patriots this division is spelled out awful. Also notice that's 4/4 on predictable teams!
Another Example: the AFC South; The Colts, The Jaguars, The Titans, and The Texans. Well, The Colts, good. The Jags, medium. The Titans, bad to medium. The Texans, bad. This one: 3/4 for predictable teams.
Now, the single teams:
The same teams
The Raiders, The Jaguars, The Colts, The Texans, the Patriots, The Cowboys, The Redskins, and, many, many more.
The not same teams
The Eagles, The Titans, The Packers, and a tiny bit more.

Ya No offense but i think your article is way off, for one the cowboys have been in the playoffs the last 2 years, and kinda sucked before that. 2) the redskins made it to the playoffs last season, they didnt do bad. and how is it the same playoffs every year, if 6 teams make it from each conference, and you listed 4. thats 1/3 of the teams that are the same.

"The Redskins didn't too bad in the playoffs last year" (or something like that)
Really, losing in the first round to the sea hawks isn't that bad?
Besides that you made sense....

Good Article David. I hear where your coming from, too. But im more tired of the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE AFC! PATS vs COLTS. But both have great coaches with probably some of the best QB's of ALL TIME. But Every great Empire falls, History teaches us that much. Its been great to watch, its been fun to see the Chargers lose every year... Its been nice to see the AFC own the NFC for this decade ( I wasnt impressed with the Giants victory, they'll lose that game 9/10 times). But a new era is emerging... Especially in the AFC WEST... Russell... Cutler.... Rivers... Brody(?).. All young QBs. But the Raiders, have many players that ARE or are coming into their Prime, primarily on Defense. ( Burgess, Asmough, Hall, Wilson, Morrison, Howard) These will be the players that carry us to the next level... Russell, Mcfadde n Bush, Miller, Walker n Curry and Cable will just put the nail in the Coffin.

I get the point of the article but if they are the best team then why not? Its not like the NBA were we have to watching the boring Spurs play every year. I like watching the Colts and Chargers. Im a raider fan by the way. Plus the NFC seams to always have a different team there. Yeah the Seahawks are always their but that is because their division sucks. The Jags were very good. They played NE well and beat the steelers. That is very good. Bills ok ill say medium but they were playing a rookie quarter back and lost a couple games by a field goal. Ill stick with the medium for the texans. They might be medium to good but they had to play the jags and colts twice. For an expansion team they are not doing bad. They were 6-2 at home and lost to Indy and Tennesse by less than 6 points combined. With a new quarterback. They are on the up. If you go 8-8 in the toughest division in football. That is not bad at all.
