If that picture doesn't intimidate you, you are one of the bravest people in the world. Or, you don't know who this man is and what he has done. Lets go with option number 2. This man came into the UFC in 2006 after having a record of 3-2 in his last 5 fights. For those that have seen this guy fight in the UFC, you probably think that I'm a liar, even I think I'm a liar, but that is factual information. Maybe that's why alot of people were surprised when he came in and made Chris Leben look like Kalib Starnes.
Anderson has yet to lose is yet to lose inside the octagon and doesn't look like he plans on losing anytime in the near future. This guy just went into a fight with James Irvin who was coming off of a 8 second KO of Houston Alexander and Anderson came in with no fear. Did I mention this fight was a 20 pounds different than the 185 he's used to destroying people in. Yeah, that's pretty impressive, and hes fighting again in October.
Lets look at the match-ups this guy has faced. His first fight against Rich Franklin I didn't pick Anderson to win. I'm sure I'm not the only one either, but he dismantled the champion with relative ease. His next fight was against Travis Lutter, and Travis did alot better than anyone expected and even pushed this fight into the 2nd round. But the overweight Lutter would get caught in a triangle and would be forced to tap. Next up was Nate Marquardt, I like Nate alot and think he is a great fighter, I actually didn't see Nate as too big of an underdog, until about 4 minutes in. Anderson would then go on to beat "Ace" again and even beat the one guy people thought had what it took to beat him, Dan Henderson. Now, "The Spider" is set to face Patrick Cote but I don't think Pat has what it takes, nor do I think the guy Cote replaced, Yushin Okami, has what it takes. But who does?
I personally think that nobody of the current UFC middle weight roster can take down the BJJ master. This is a man that forced Rich Franklin to try his hand at Light-Heavyweight after beating him twice in pretty much the same way. Here is a list of guys that I would like to see the UFC go and get to challenge this MMA freak.
Robbie Lawler- He may not have looked to good during his previous UFC stint, but this guy seems to be relentless in proving he is the best middleweight in the world. You may even call him ruthless.
Frank Trigg- Another guy that didn't look too good in his previous stint, but imagine the amount of cash the UFC could gave from this fight. Twinkle Toes is one of the most popular fighters in the world, one of my personal favorites, and hes pretty much wasting his career fighting guys like Edwin Dewees and Makoto Takimoto. Come on Dana, you know you want Trigg back.
Yoshihiro Akiyama- This one I really don't see happening because I don't think Dana White looks too far for his fighters because he'd rather bring back old guys, Pride fighters, or find his new ones on TUF. This guy likes too fight alot just like Anderson, he fought 6 times in 2006 and would pose a nice challenge to Anderson.

I totally disagree. I think Palhares and Maia both have the best chance of beating Silva over anybody in any MMA organization around the world because of their fighting styles. The problem is that they are going to have to work through a slew of fighters to get to silva and they may never reach him.
Filho is another guy who I might consider as well (technically on the same payroll as palhares and maia) but Trigg, Akiyama, loiseau, and lawler stand absolutely zero chance of defeating silva.

I honestly believe that Henderson has the best chance out of anybody. Give him a rematch.
