Kellen Winslow Jr. has been hospitalized with an undisclosed illness. But because it's undisclosed, there has been some speculation. How can't there be? Kellen Winslow is a ****in' soldier! But I believe I have come close to diagnosing K2's health issues. I have several ideas about what this "undisclosed illness" could be. It could be only one of my ideas, it could be all of them, or it could be none of them.
STD
There have been rumours that he has a swollen testicle. And let's face it, being a highly paid NFL player who is one of the top six TEs in the league wouldn't hurt your chances of scoring. In a relationship sense, not the football sense (because we all know he isn't scoring again anytime soon).
Heartache
I think it's possible he just misses the hospital. K2 could just be suffering from a case of nostalgia. After spending so many seasons not playing and in a hospital, it just might be possible that he misses all of his good buddies at the hospital. Check up with the people who used to change his bed pans, sheets, and bandages maybe? Maybe even hit on some nurses or see how his doctor is doing. The guy is just flat out considerate.
Torn Pride Muscle
Only one touchdown this year for someone who is supposed to be one of the top TEs in the league? I'd be hurting too! And it's bad enough he doesn't really know how to block as well as the other tight ends on his team.
Heiden and Dinkens are producing against the Giants as I write this article. He's about to go through a Jeremy Shockey phase where he gets really selfish and things start going downhill. Improbable? He's been asking for a new contract. And if he doesn't produce this year, you think he'll get a contract he'll like? He's already heading down that road.
I understand that I'm no doctor and I only play one on TV, but I think the realism is there. Kellen will return soon hopefully and wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

From the rumors I've heard is that the doctors are concerned that it is a testicular cancer. Let's hope not. Go Browns!

I do sincerely hope that it isn't cancer. He's already been through so much at such a young age. And it always hurts to see a young person in the NFL to have to go through so much. Even if the motorcycle thing was his fault, he doesn't deserve another injury like this.

Kinky sex?
If advanced testicular cancer would it take two days of hospitalization the he gets released?
Sounds far fetched, but you never know.

I really hope K2 has learned by now and hasn't done anything stupid like that. You never know what kind of accidents can happen off the field that take you out for awhile. And this would certainly take the cake if that was the case.

Just a little side note nothing really important but I believe he is Kellen Winslow II, not Junior. Like I said nothing really important unless it comes out on quiz shows.
Anyways he is still one of the best Tight Ends out there and a lot of fans wore Winslow jerseys on MNF. Personally he is one of my favorites and I hope he can get back out there next week. With the Browns seemingly clicking, having him just adds another weapon on that team.
I still can't believe that Cleveland didn't punt the whole game. And the fact that everyone besides Steve Young picked the Giants in that game just show how much they proved everyone. If they can protect DA and he plays like Quinn breathing down his back, the Browns might make the playoffs this year. Its kind of weird saying that considering the beginning of the season the expectations were much higher than their records suggest.

It's interchangeable (the Jr. and II at the end of his name). I used Jr. in the title, but I used K2 throughout the article more. And yeah, no big deal really either way.
I do believe that he is one of the best receiving tight ends out there though. Maybe not blocking, but still, he's a legitimate Pro Bowler (unlike DA). I know he was released from the hospital though (Sunday actually I think), so hopefully he'll be making a speedy recovery in time for this weeks game. I'm not sure if he will though seeing as how it is a short week.
And I think Dinkins and Heiden did very well in his absence. So I'm okay with Kellen taking as much time as he needs to get back. It'll just be better when he comes back to full strength rather then getting right back into it.
And yeah, having no turnovers against the defending Super Bowl champions is quite a feat. Ending their away game winning streak is even better too. I think that just shows the dedication our fans have and just how passionate they are for the game.
I'm not going to say they're a playoff team yet. DA performed remarkably well this week, but we still need consistency out of him. He should be playing like that every week, whether or not Brady is breathing down his neck for the starting job.

"Playoffs? Am I talking about the playoffs?"
Yeah considering they were 10-6 last season and missed the playoff, talking about that right now is crazy hopeful. I think the euphoria of MNF is still in my blood. Hopefully we can all ride the win and build on it next week against another tough opponent.

"Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs! Playoffs? You kiddin' me?"
Haha, Jim Mora....
Yeah, I think the Browns have a decent shot at the playoffs though. Looking at the schedule, I think we have all reasonably winnable games. Our next game against the Skins though could be very tough and I wouldn't be surprised for the Brownies to go 2-4 after this week. However, I'm hoping DA and Braylon will keep the momentum going from Monday Night. And if K2 is healthy, then it's going to be a good game.

This article is stupid and the unfair. If you had paid any attention since Kellen crashed his bike you'd notice he's acted like a model player. Doesn't matter if it was Chuck Fry, or DA, no one has had the quarterbacks back more than Kellen. The guy was a classy player through the Charlie era, even though it was absolute misery. Everything I've read on the guy talks about how hard he works, how competitive he is, and how loyal he is to his teammates. Keep in mind he was not a major distraction over his contract this off-season even though he just made the probowl, and Drew Rosenhaus is his agent looking to collect on a new contract. I suspect Kellen actually talked Rosenhaus into waiting a year. Name one of Rosenhaus' clients that haven't asked for (or demanded) a new ridiculous contract in his first year of working with them. He's played his whole career through injuries and this is the first game he's missed since I can't remember. But because, IN COLLEGE, he said the was a f'ing soldier and then he had a motorcycle accident, you can't give the guy a break. Think about what kind of douchebaggery you were up to in college. I'm sure you said things profoundly stupider that K2's soldier rant, possibly even in front of a camera, but nobody cares about you so you got away with it. I can't believe you've compared him to Jeremy Shockey. You aren't even a sports writer are you. You're just a gossip columnist in disguise.

Come on, Dave.....lighten up! The guy's a good receiving tight end. Every NFL player comes out of college; most raised by parents with a LOT less money than Winslow's. To excuse stupidity on youth would excuse every athlete in the world. He owes the Browns, not the other way around. His injury was a result of breaking a contract that he freely signed. The Browns let him keep his signing bonus and paid him a ridiculous rookie salary to rehab. Every K2 fan blames his greed on his agent. Who hired that leech? He doesn't block. This is a "tell" for the Browns. When they sit Winslow, you can be pretty sure that they're running the ball. All this "hard work" must not be spent on blocking technique, huh? He should play out his contract and shut up.

Did you not see this article posted under the Humor section? I am in no way demeaning him or his injury. I'm well aware as a Cleveland Browns fan and a human being. In my last sentence I wish K2 the best. And I really do. You can see in my comment responses that I have not taken a stance to actually criticize him and make fun of him. The point of the article was to point out the odd speculation that occurs whenever something is "undisclosed" and all the rumours that circulate. And I'm still in high school, and far from a columnist of any kind. Thank you for your comments though, it's appreciated either way.

I don't believe it's cancer. He would have been out for the year. He wanted to play last week, that's not indicative of cancer.
