Arsenal: Senior Young Guns Turning On the Style, or Giving Fans a Headache?

Last week, after Samir Nasri scored his second, I couldn't stop jumping, and in midweek, when Vela scored Arsenal's third, David Bowie's song "Let's dance" was ringing in my head.

This weekend, however, I was wondering why I had even smiled in midweek, as Arsenal were back to their very worst.

Nicklas Bendtner (who was previously considered one of Arsenal's best strikers) and Abou Diaby were nowhere close to filling Van Persie and Ade's boots. Diaby was active up front at times, but Bendtner was just acting as an all-rounder doing his defensive duties but sleeping upfront.

One more game left till Van Persie comes back and one more game for Bendtner to prove himself or be back to the reserves. Bottom line: Frontline was TERRIBLE, even when Ade came on along with Vela.

"Gallas is the man," that was my initial thought after the penalty. At the end of the match, I felt like a fool for saying that. Sagna should be a defensive midfielder, because he likes going up front and thus sometimes tends to forget that he is a defender.

Clichy...An awesome player, he may have been unfortunate with the own goal but he was clearly not at his best tonight. Mikael Silvestre was solid but could have been better and Almunia was good but should have been more alert. In other words, defence was average, nowhere near its best.

Fabregas was the intelligent and clever midfielder who never woke up, Denilson had his worst game so far in the league, and Walcott had hardly anybody to support him, except out of form Bendtner when moving forward. Just one word will be enough to describe Nasri's performance, largely due to his mistakes towards the end: Terrible.

After yet another defeat and the third of the season (second at home) what is Wenger going to do? May be its time to introduce Jack Wilshere and Co. to the Premier League....
