Let me begin by saying that I actually like LeBron James.
I like the way he carries himself and I like the way he plays. The guy is good! No. He's great! But is the whole "LeBron's landing in 2010" being blown out of proportion?
No doubt about it.
Again, I am taking absolutely nothing away from LeBron's great play. His rookie season James averaged nearly 21 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and dished out six assists per game. Since then, James has posted a career high in PPG in '04-'05 with 31.4, and 30.0 just last season.
As of late, I can't even turn on the TV without hearing about where LeBron is heading in 2010. It makes me sick to browser to ESPN.com and read the front page, "Where Will He Land?"
Are you kidding me? Let me ask you again, Are you kidding me? Can someone please tell me the year?
Its 2008 for those of you who didn't know.
That means LeBron has to complete the remainder of this season, and all of next season before he can even opt out of his contract. Not only does this topic of discussion make my stomach want to hurl, but I have reason to believe LeBron likes all the attention.

As a team leader LeBron, you need to put this issue aside—at least for now. Your becoming a distraction not only to your team, but the entire NBA. The Cavaliers trip to Madison Square Garden last night wasn't even about the Cavs. It was about LeBron James. It was about his future in New York.
Never in my life have I heard an opposing team's fans go insane for an opposing team's player. Maybe a return of Michael Jordan to the Bulls, or Iverson to the 76ers, but not LeBron to a team hes never even played for. This is becoming ridiculous!
LeBron, All you had to do was get in front of the microphone and say, "I'm a Cleveland Cavalier and I will be until 2010."
No, instead you got in front of the media and said, ""I don't know. We'll do our best to win it this and next year. Like I said, July 1 is a big day. I know that. I can't sit here and say I don't know how big July 1 of 2010 is, it's going to be a big day, but for me to give to an answer of whether I'm staying or not, or where I'm going or playing, I don't know."
Can we please forget about July 1st, 2010? Please? At least until it gets here. LeBron can't even win a title with Cleveland, how do you expect the man to win a title with the NBA's worst basketball team? It won't happen and if it does it won't be happening until the year of 2010.
So once again, LeBron forget about the future because it is never guaranteed. You have almost two full seasons left in Cleveland to fulfil your chance at an NBA Championship.
Until you do that, enough about 2010.

Thank you! The biggest issue in the NBA right now is all the one-sided deals for expiring contracts. It almost makes me wish there were no salary cap. I can't stand to think about how we're gonna be hearing about this for two years. They might as well be comemorating Shaq's career right now, since he's retiring at the same time. There's other things I want to hear about besides LeBron's magical offseason.

I'm glad somebody said it. I mean, it's really tiring trying to check out the score of the Knicks/Cavs game, and all I hear is "Lebron's potential future home" or "Lebron's potential future fans." It might be a big story in, oh, 18 months, but not now.

I'm glad this article was put out-
enough of this crap. Its not 2010,
so hold your damn horses LeBron.
Concentrate on the Cavs, their your team right now, so why don't you focus on that?
Great, Great work.

Yeah i am sick of hearing about this topic too.
LeBron will probably go to the Knicks though. But the problem is that the Cavs will never let the best player in the whole NBA leave. So, who knows...

"LeBron will probably go to the Knicks though."
That is what makes it more annoying. The fact that people actually think he is going to the "Knicks" specifically. Like this writer said, this is 2008. The highest probability of 2010 is that Lebron will leave Cleveland, NOT that he will join New York. The Key here, and he has said it a lot of times, is that he wants to win a championship, not to walk on broadway.
