There is no possible way that a bowl would take Northwestern over Iowa. Northwestern can't even fill up their own stadium, much less a bowl game. Read any other article on the internet about this and I guarantee you, Iowa will be chosen first. The Capital One and Outback bowls are even considering taking Iowa over Michigan State. Bowls don't care about overall record or head-to-head match-ups as long as the records are somewhat close. They care about momentum, filling seats, traveling fan base, and a marquee win and Iowa has all of those over Northwestern and Michigan State.
