The Rock Talks Roman Reigns Match at WWE WrestleMania: 'We're Figuring It Out'
Roman Reigns' WrestleMania 40 opponent appears to be set after Cody Rhodes won the men's Royal Rumble over the weekend, but The Rock's shadow continues to loom.
The newly appointed TKO board member confirmed he's been in talks with WWE for a comeback match against Reigns, though he once again would not set a firm date.
"We're talking about that right now. I'd like to consider myself a long gamer and a builder," The Rock told Fox News. "So, the idea of going up against Roman Reigns and creating, if we were to do something like that, quite possibly, and I mean this respectfully of all the other WrestleManias before us...We could possibly put on the biggest WrestleMania of all time. So, the short answer and the long answer is we're figuring it out."

Best & Worst Booking Decisions 📊
Rhodes has been on a journey to "finish" his family's story and capture WWE's top prize for the better part of two years. He lost to Reigns at last year's WrestleMania in a decision that shocked many, but he seems like a surefire bet to capture gold this year in Philadelphia.
Given The Rock's comment about building a "long" game, it would not be a surprise to see him involved in that match.
Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso have been Reigns' lifelines throughout his championship reign, and The Great One interrupting an interference attempt from his two family members to set up a feud with The Tribal Chief isn't even wild fantasy booking; it's just logical storytelling.
A Rock vs. Reigns match does not need a title involved, and one could argue the story would be better off without it.
